Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt ... PINK!

Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

This is the South Winds Condominiums down by the beach where I live! They are actually more startlingly pink than they appear in this photo ... lighting must have been kind to them the day I took this! LOL! They really are QUITE pink and as they are the tallest building in that two block stretch they really stand out! Despite the color, IF I were given the opportunity to live there I would snatch it! Each of those apartments boasts a waterfront view! And the amazing thing is ... 3 br / 2 full baths only goes for $419,000.00! If you're in the market -- one's available! (this broker better give me some commission or something... LOL!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Other Stuff...
I talked to Krysti today... she is in ALL HER GLORY up at that college! She couldn't BE any happier -- and you know this makes it much easier for the Mama unit to be happy too! She was having scheduling nightmares last night -- but as of this afternoon had them all worked out and is happy as a clam for next semester! Instead of a double major, she has now decided to go for two entirely separate degrees! The school only assigns 12 credits per semester. If you want more than that you have to get waivers and jump through hoops. Her scholarship is only supposed to cover up to 18 credits per semester. This past semester she took 23 and next semester she's taking 24!!! Her Criminal Justice professor is working on getting the college to pay for the additional credits! I have NO idea how this will come out -- but I'll just pray... and God will answer! She will have her EMT certificate in January... and has arranged a Field Period working in a Campus Center for Autistic children in January. Her ASL teacher requires them to do 30 hours of outside the classroom work - so she has been tutoring sign, volunteering in a deaf school of some sort, and doing sOMething else... sheeesh - I can't keep it all straight! I'm glad she can! I can't imagine how much coffee she's drinking to get through her days! LOL!
The weather has finally cooled off here, annnnnnd we've actually had RAIN the last 3 days! Hallelujia! Carol and Mathew were not extremely thrilled about that since the two days they were moving out was the first two days it rained! Baaaad timing! But we have NEEDED the rain, and prayed and prayed for it -- so I wasn't about to be anything but joyful for it!!! ( I LOVE rain anyway... I have missed it greatly!) Right now, as I type, it is pouring out my window! *Big Smiles*
That is a cool building.
Sounds like Krysti has a bit of her Mama in her. That's quite a schedule.
Glad to hear the weather is starting to change.
Cool. Perfect location (beach) for that kind of color.
Mine is called "Pink in Deadwood." (It's not a flower.)
By Anonymous Mike Goad, at 10/26/2007 8:21 PM
Oh I love it... I would live in it!
By Blogger Michele (Rocky Mtn.Girl), at 10/26/2007 8:23 PM
Less than half a mill... it's beautiful, but I'd wait for a quarter :-)
By Blogger JC, at 10/26/2007 8:23 PM
There is a set of condo's near where we stay that looks like that. (I bet nearly every beach town does--not sure why the pink but IO seem to remember them in other places we have stayed.) Crazy pink thing! :) Good for your daughter--you must be proud of her.
By Anonymous Heather, at 10/26/2007 8:27 PM
Must be an awesome place to live in. Great one!
Nice looking pink building, it matches your template.
Thanks for your update :)
We got some of that much needed rain here too!
By Blogger .:mar, at 10/27/2007 3:36 AM
Nice building but the price is a bit too steep for me! :-) Hey - you blog is pink too!!!
Happy Weekend.
By Anonymous pat, at 10/27/2007 4:11 AM
The building looks nice and clean and with a great architecture, but actually too much of pink for me :-)
I had to laugh about your last lines - never heard one so happy about seeing rain before. Well, we've actually had a couple of lovely, sunny and beautiful (in collor) autumn weeks lately too, but today it'll rain so just you come over.
Speaking of that: Your welcome over to a Halloween Party in Oslo later on tonight :-)
By Anonymous RennyBA, at 10/27/2007 5:10 AM
Er... a bit overwhelming, that pink - I agree. But for the people who live there it is probably not that painful, after all they are inside ;-)
By Blogger SnoopyTheGoon, at 10/27/2007 5:17 AM
there seem to be more pink buildings on/near beaches than anywhere else. i wonder if it is because of the sun.
By Blogger Andrée, at 10/27/2007 5:42 AM
That's a very pink building. I'm glad you got some rain. We did too and it's wonderful. Also glad your daughter is happy. That can make the world of difference to a parent. I'm the same way with mine.
By Blogger Carver, at 10/27/2007 6:58 AM
Love the pink "castle"! LOL
By Blogger Maribeth, at 10/27/2007 8:23 AM
Those condos sound like they have a wonderful view. With the pink colour, the building looks like it belongs on the beach.
My pink photo.
Wohoo, that building is pink for sure! I wouldn't care if it were lilac with green spots, if it were by the seaside, I'd take it!
That is, if I had the money... uhum...
I'm happy for you that it goes so well for Krysti :-D
Keep on enjoying the rain :-)
