Friday Feast #131
Play Along?Appetizer
What sound, other than the normal ringing, would you like your telephone to make?
Actually... MY phone makes almost any other sound except the normal ring! Right now it plays a different song for each of my family members... and another song for "anybody else".... and I like that! But hmmmm.... a sound I don't have? Oh - maybe a wind chime! OR it could sound like a doorbell - then everyone would still shout "I GOT IT!" hehehe... could be fun!
Soup
Describe your usual disposition in meteorological terms (partly cloudy, sunny, stormy, etc.).
SUNNY & breezy! Tornado warnings remain in effect!
Salad
What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subjects?
Blogging 101? Are we talking regular school subjects? Cuz that would be English - though you'd never know it from my blog! ;)
Main Course
Imagine you were given the ability to remember everything you read for one entire day. Which books/magazines/newspapers would you choose to read?
Oh WOW! What a great gift that would be! I'll tell ya -- I would NOT read ANY newspapers or magazines -- most of what is in them is junk anyway - and things that are merely of interest, but not really valuable knowledge. I think I would spend the day doing my BEST to get through an entire dictionary, and the Bible! I think having the correct definitions and USE of words would make reading anything else a more valuable experience - and knowledge and understanding of the Bible can provide enlightenment on so many situations. Other than that -- with the internet so easily at our disposal, information on ANYTHING is so easy to obtain these days! It's really not necessary to have too many facts committed to memory -- you just need to know how to FIND the information when you DO need it! (or want it)
Dessert
If a popular candy maker contacted you to create their next confection, what would it be like and what would you name it?
Okay.... well... the PERFECT candy is ALMOST out there -- and it's called Snickers! I would make a change though. Peanuts are okaaaaaay ... but to be truly a FABULOUS concoction it should be chocolate, caramel, vanilla nougat, and PISTACHIO nuts! Mmmmm hmmmm! What would I call it? Scrumptious!

Well you had me coming up for air while diving into your dessert, Melli....'til I came upon a pistachio.
Gawd I love pistachio nuts, but salty!! I'm not sure about having them in chocolate tho. Have you had it that way? Do tell!!! I'm curious.
Happy weekend dear lady. It's great to have you stop by and hope you enjoyed my scrumptious dessert....less filling that way, when there is so much but 'hot air'. *wink*

Hi Melli. I love changing ring tones too. I also have a specified tone for family, friends and colleagues.
Tornado warnings ... that made me smile. It sounds funny but I guess in reality, we should really be ready for unexpected events in our lives.
I love the idea of learning all the words in the dictionary. That would make reading easier to comprehend.
Your chocolate sounds perfect. I'd love to try that one.
Thanks for visiting me earlier.

Melli, I didn't know what you were talking about so I checked my profile....lol! I AM 250!! When I filled out my profile, it said in the "birthdate" area that we could leave the year blank if we wanted, so I did. Apparently, they filled it in for me...with "1756" as the year, making me 250 years old!! I have changed it to "1971" now, so hopefully it is showing my real age (yee-haw!) I love your comments...thanks for visiting me today! :)

You be SO funny....tornado warnings eh???
I'm with you on the newspapers...they seem to be SO biased, in the wrong direction.
Hope your weekend is a fun one.

Snickers rock! The Bible is great to remember. ESword is a great free computer program that helps you look/search anything up in a pinch. But just in case.. you know.. China blasts our satellites out of the air or the internet flys away - most bookstores carry "Topical Bibles" and they are really awesome to have on hand.

I picked the dictionary too, I would never need to look up another word.
I'm fond of snickers too.
What's this about a tornado passing through?

I love this. It looks like fun. I best check your archives to see what it is all about.
Please don't pass out or anything but I actually put up my Saturday Hunt picture for a change. I did not want to make you come back twice for a change. I am afraid it is not that good however.

The dictionary would be one for me, too. How do you remember which songs goes with which family member?

Bible and dictionary -- those would be my choices, too!
