The Numbers Are Dropping...
As of this afternoon Mathew and Carol will be officially moved in to their new apartment! They are sO excited! (I am so excited too!) This is his 2nd time "moving out on his own" -- we both hope it sticks this time! He seems to like his sales job, and he's doing well with it. I've read that the furniture market is not doing so well because the housing market
Since Amanda & Hector are now living in Bowie - and soon to be adopting beautiful Luz... and Krysti is away at college... that leaves us with only Derek left at home! (and two cats and the dog...) What an odd feeling! He is really very low maintenance -- except for the occasional disastrous calamity, he pretty much takes care of himself! Of course, there IS the car thing... he's still using mine! But he will be purchasing something new in the next week or two.
So... I've quit my job... my kids are almost all gone. I'm down to only 3 pets. I have a new seat on the Hub's motorcycle... Hm. What shall I do with myself??? Only God knows... and so far He's not saying! But I'll just BET you He has SOMEthing in mind! You just wait... and keep watching this blog! In the meantime... I think I'll work on turning Mathew's old room back into a guest room / Luz room!!!

So, the chickens almost all have flown the coop...It is exciting to think about what new wonders await you, just around the corner, isn't it? More time for Melli and her creativity, I think!

I remember being in the same position that you are in. I was no longer needed as a Mother and I felt like there was NO PLACE for me. It was a weird feeling plus menopause was right there and my emotions were having a hay day with me. Finally I just prayed that God would show me what I was to do with my life. I knew that I needed to help someone somehow because I am the happiest that way. A big job came my way and I took it!! Life just developed from that. Happiness is there!! For now be thankful that you are at home and busy with home things..Sandy

What to do with yourself ? That's easy here are some proposals
Take two more cats
Take one more dog
Prepare the guest room for me in a (far) near future
Blog more
Make headers and templates (for us)
Watch the neighbors (very interesting job)with a binocle
Read, rest and rest and read
Try different hair colors
Once in a while go to a hat shop just trying them out
etc. etc.
See there is a lot of things to do !

Well, it is certainly true that nothing remains the same. Children do grow up and they do move out (eventually). But it's all good!!!
I loved reading all of your posts about the "Blogging Babes". Boy, did you all have fun. Your hair DOES look mahvalous dahlin' and I think it suits you to a tee!!!
Now, I'm not so sure about Jen's hair color......maybe not her best look!!!

Wow! Welcome to a whole new world... yes, that room MUST become a grandchild room. :) That's perfect. You and Dennis should also do some road trips, now that you got that sweet side car! What fun... and how odd it must feel! At this point in my life I just cannot imagine it - yet I'm certain it's great (cuz it means you did a good job!!)!
