Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt -- Thirteen ... and ... NOT a meme!

Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

Today's theme is THIRTEEN.

I believe THIS is going to be one of the MOST fun weeks the Photo Hunt has ever had! Thirteen can be absolutely ANYthing, and I think most bloggers will be very creative with it! I'm SO excited!!!

I chose thirteen home-made plates -- and one bowl! LOL!
Daughter Krysti (who painted the bowl) works at
Paint & Pottery.
Mom & I spend a lot of time at P&P entertaining ourselves.
Mom made all the salad plates.
I made all the dinner plates.
We're not done yet
-- because this is NOT enough for my whole family.
But we're gettin' there!

A view from the other end!
I'm LOVING this set of dishes more and more as
we go along!

--------------------------------------------

And on this Saturday...
As Krysti would call it...
A Survey!
"What is a meme Mom???"

(the difference between blogging and "MySpace")

[1] What's one thing that would instantly make you dislike a person?
Wow... that's harsh. I'm sure there IS something though ... I just can't think of it at the moment.

[2] What do you do when you need to relax?
Blog, read, paint, pray...

[3] Why do you think there is war in the world?
Because Satan is in the world.

[4] Do you think it's ok to sometimes tell white lies?
No, I don't think it's okay. Do I do it? Yes... occasionally I do.

[5] Do you like things in life to stay how they are or change?
This is waaaaaaaaay to general a question! SOME things I very much like to stay the same. Other things I very much need to change every now and then!

[6] If someone liked you, what would be the best way to let you know?
Write a letter to my husband ... and then run! (that's assuming it's a "male" we're talking about!) Others can just tell me!

[7] What are you listening to right now?
The country music station.

[8] If you won a lot of money on the lottery, what would you buy first?
A Cul-de-sac! The whoooole cul-de-sac! And then build 5 houses on it. One for Hubby & I, and one for each of my kids! Then the whole family would live together in the neighborhood - but not in each other's house! And we would all live happily ever after!!! (it's my DREAM!!!)

[9] Would it change your life?
Yes it would!!!

[10] What was the last thing you purchased?
Paper towels, and dishwasher soap! (whoot!)

[11] What do you do when you're stressed out?
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM! (sometimes in my head)

[12] Would you honestly say you'd risk your life for someone else?
Absolutely!

[13] Do you believe in Aliens?
I believe that WE ... human beans... can not possibly be the ONLY toys God made to play with. I do believe there MUST be other intelligent life somewhere out there... but I really DO think He placed us far enough apart that we would NEVER find each other! It's fun to think about though...

[14] Could you forgive a boyfriend or girlfriend who physically hurt you?
Yea. Forgiving does not necessarily mean I would stay with them... but I would forgive them.

[15] What's your greatest fear in life?
Losing one of my children. I sincerely hope I am NEVER tested on this.

[16] Have you got a best friend?
I have many GOOD friends. I don't think I could pick a BEST one anymore...

[17] Are you afraid of death?
Not even a little bit! I might be afraid of the METHOD of death -- but not death!

[18] Do you think parents should stay together for the kids?
No, I don't. I think it can actually be more harmful in some situations.

[20] Can money buy happiness?
Not even! But giving it away can bring GREAT happiness!!!

[22] Are you looking forward to anything?
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow!
AND a few good weeks at the beach this summer!

[23] Write some lyrics from the song your listening to:
There's some good red wine and some brand new shoes... ... ... ... I ain't settling for anything less than everything... (song by Sugarland)

[24] Do you open up to people easily?
Do YOU read my blog regularly?

[25] Are you happy with the way you look?
Sometimes. But mostly no!

[26] Has anyone paid you a compliment today?
Yes!

[27] What do your friends call you?
LOL! I don't think I want to know!!!

[28] Has anyone upset you in the last week?
??? My mother in law LIVES with me!!!

[29] What usually causes your relationships to end?
Boredom.

[30] Are you close to your parents?
*sigh* ... no.

[31] What's the best thing about you?
I dunno... Krysti says it's that "You're the Mama!" ... but I dunno... I mean ... I'm sure everyone has a different opinion about that!

[32] The worst?
*rolls eyes* Ditto 31 ! I can think of MANY things.

[33] Do you think you would be a good parent?
Starting NOW???

[34] Are you a forgiving person?
Not right away! But eventually.

[35] What can you hear right now?
3 questions in ONE survey about "what I hear"??? Okay... in addition to the country music station that is no longer playing Sugarland, I also hear the clicking of my keyboard keys!

[36] Can you speak any other languages?
I speak "body language"!

I love the hand painted plates and bowl. Very nice and so creative. I enjoyed reading the survey answers too. I especially liked your answer to 36. I'll have to remember that. My daughter speaks many languages and she did NOT get that gene from me. However, I'm great at body language.
