Today's Theme: PLASTIC

I'm pretty sure I have a million pictures with plastic
in them... but none could be so precious as these...

Luz sipping tea with pinky extended...
From her little pink plastic princess tea set...
wearing Nana's hat.
Goodness, how I love that little girl!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today will be other pink fun, as Luz has her tap and ballet recital today!
Her tap performance is a solo!
I am one EXCITED Nana!!!
Yes, I am!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Krysti emailed yesterday and said that she has "survived" Amsterdam, Paris, Switzerland, and Germany! She now has 3 days in Austria and then hooooooooome! She said she has had a blast but that she is ready (oh soooooooooo ready) to come HOME! Tap your heels together 3 times Krysti, and repeat... there's no place like home... LOL! I will be happy to have her back too! Though I suspect I won't see her for long before she goes back to work! After all, she's been OFF for two weeks!

Yesterday...

Oh my goodness! I just returned from our Praise service to give thanks for John Fogleman's recovery, and it was fantastic! We had a pretty good turnout -- about 40 people. I was hoping for more - but 40 is more than usually show up for anything - so I was pleased!

My friends Sue & Cordell had put the whole thing together, and two other friends - Barb & Jim lead the music with guitar. Every single song we sang was one of my FAVORITE praise songs! Needless to say - I'd like to do this EVERY Friday night! We read about a dozen different sections of Psalms - and we did it in responses. I got to lead Psalm 89:6-8. Then 5 people stood up and gave testimony about either how John's illness has affected them ... or about how John has been a blessing to them in a specific way. And my friend Norm talked about how much John has grown in Christ since he joined First Lutheran back in '94. I know - because he's in my bible study - about how Jesus "rescued" John once before. But not everyone in the congregation knows his past. And of course, I didn't know him BACK THEN! But he was quite a character and was not - by any means - always in the Lord! He sure is now though! He's really amazing! God is sO good! And this was just a great praise service! I'm sure Jesus was smiling!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Krysti has arrived in Amsterdam, and can not get over how BEAUTIFUL it is! I tried to warn her! I've never even BEEN there, but I still knew it would be beautiful! She says it is overwhelming! She and her little group of girls went to a "really really nice restaurant" that they didn't realize was THAT nice - but she said the wait staff was wonderful, and she thinks the food was Belgian - but she's not sure! But everything was FABULOUS! They had NO idea what they were eating - but it was all good! LOL! I soooooooooo wish I was there with her! Tomorrow they are going to the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank house. *sigh* I wanna gooooooo.... I have NO idea what her schedule is. I know they go to Paris, and I know they go to Germany... but that's all I can remember. So... it will be a surprise to ALL of us what she does!
Today I got my next "thing" to be excited about! Well, two things actually --- I hadn't told you guys yet - but I'm signed on for crafts at VBS again this year! I've worked it out with Vada to come stay with Mom that whole week so that I don't have to take her with me this year. THAT was just too stressful last year! Not because she DOES anything, but because when she gets BORED her "thing to do" is use the restroom -- and of course, she couldn't go there by herself -- and I couldn't STOP to take her! So it WAS stressful. It will be better if I can leave her home this year! This year we're doing Gadget's Garage -- so it's all about building and creating! Crafts should be a breeze!
AND ... the other thing - the one I found out today is - Dennis (even though I told him he could say NO) said I CAN go to Women of Faith again this year!!! Whoooooooo hoooo! Oh I can not WAIT! And sO many of my friends are going this year! It's going to be a BLAST! I just LOVE having something to look forward to! It makes time go by much HAPPIER! I am dancin' on the clouds tonight, I'll tell ya! It's just been a GREAT day!
Today's Theme: YELLOW
Dennis brought me flowers!
(from MY garden ... but HE brought them to me!)
LOL!
Well... I'm sure we'll see a lot of daffodils and other
flowers today! Spring is trying sO hard to sprung!
But for me, it was either this ... or my kitchen!
(and you've SEEN that!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ohhhhhh Mom is really concerning me with this new "phase" she's moving into. Suddenly she does not seem to be able to dress (or undress) herself anymore. Clothing has always been a confusing issue... but as long as we keep things "simple" she's been able to handle it for the most part. But the last few nights Dennis has had to help her get her PJ's on... and I have had to all but dress her in the mornings. She HAS had this cold too -- and I wonder how much of it is that... and if it will come back... or if once it's lost, it's lost -- even if it is due to a cold. Somehow she ended up with two pairs of underwear on today, and she had an "accident" and I think it might have been because she pulled down one pair - but didn't realize she had another pair on... I don't know. I also don't know when she got that other pair on! Food is even more confusing now too... and just overall -- she seems "sadder"... even more withdrawn. It's as though she's more acutely aware of HOW confused she is. Before she didn't usually believe that she's confused. OH! And the bathroom! Oh my goodness! It used to be she would go to the bathroom a million times a day. Not now. Now she goes in there only a few times a day - but she stays for 20 minutes - and then we have to FIGHT her to get her to come out! She just goes in and sits. She forgets if she went or not. So she just keeps sitting there waiting to go again! We can not convince her that she's been in there for so long -- she doesn't remember it being that long! She thinks we've all turned into bathroom police! Oyyyyyyy....

We did get out for a little bit today. Got a bite to eat, and then I took Mom and got her hair cut. Cleaned her up a bit. She was gettin' pretty shaggy. Then we hit the grocery store to try to get a corned beef so that we could celebrate OUR St. Patricks Day Sunday... operative word here being we TRIED! There is not a corned beef to be had in this town. Or in this county. How crazy is that!?? I mean I knOw we just had Green Day - but I didn't get MINE and there should have been ONE left over for me! How sad... Well, we're going to have a meal on Sunday. It just may NOT be a St. Patrick's Day meal... *sigh* Krysti and I have to go over to Waldorf tomorrow. I'm going to try to get one over there! *crosses my fingers*

Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt...

Today's Theme: Thankful

Of all things to come into my life within the past couple of years...
the absolute number 1
thing that I am thankful for HAS to be my wee
GRANDDAUGHTER!

Luz Estrella
The Light of my life...

My shining STAR!

I was blessed to spend time with she and my
daughter, Amanda, just yesterday.
After a nice lunch out on a WARM but cloudy
February day... we spent a little bit of
time trying to enjoy the great outdoors!

I guess sOMe folks might say it was a
Poopy Day! Amanda & Luz were trying
to dodge it - but it was hopeless!

One of the culprits!

For some reason it was only on that ONE deck though...
the others were fairly untouched! Very strange...

After tossing some stones into the water
Luz got a little quiet and was reflective
for a few moments...

Suddenly she wished that her stones would
pop up again. I'm not sure why. There were
plenty more. I told Amanda we were going to
have to bring styrofoam stones the next time!

Luz & I dropped Mama off at home after this and she and I went and spent the rest of the afternoon wandering in and out of little shops, looking at boats, FINDING alphabet letters -- Luz is pretty good at it! And playing obstacle courses. Luz is recovering from a week of flu though so she didn't have much energy for those courses. If I said "jump" or "hop" she said "no, Nana... I don't feel like jumping"... and so it was. We had calm obstacle courses today!

Amanda reminded me today that Luz is now 4 and ONE HALF years old... and my heart is breaking! She is growing up SO fast! I just want her to stay little ... a long time!

Ten Word Challenge: build-a-bear workshop, man bites dog, opulent, disparaging, lipstick stain, preponderance, smoky quartz, clothes pin, meticulous, falling leaves

October 25, 2007 - Chicago, IL - MAN BITES DOG!
In a rather bizarre turn of events today, Martin G. Russel, the city's most opulent citizen, asserts that his dog, Bailey, was bitten by a man with a clothes pin on his nose. While visiting the Build-A-Bear Workshop with his granddaughter at Chicago Towne Center, the meticulous Russel stated the man, who was wearing black dress slacks, white button down shirt, and a smoky quartz suit jacket simply walked up to him, bent over and bit his incredibly rare snow white bullmastif. The preponderance of eye witnesses confirmed the story and even added that the man left a bright red lipstick stain on the dog. Bailey did not bite back. According to standers by, the man then ran out crossing the street and disappeared into a wooded area nearby. Authorities have noted that his tracks were covered by the Windy City's falling leaves. Mr. Russel said the entire incident was quite disparaging, and he is flummoxed as to why it occurred. Police ask that anyone having information about the alleged dog biter, please call 1-800-DOG-BITE. All calls will remain anonymous.

Yesterday was the most UNproductive day I've had in a long long time! Knee was acting up horribly -- almost had me feeling a need to see a doctor! It hurt just to stand on it... so I didn't. Which meant I got nothing done - other than to write my Wordzzles... which we've GOT to get away from MY word lists! I am HORRIBLE at making word lists! Remind me NOT to do that again! Other than that - I got a good nap! Mmmmm.... I love a nap! Vada had Mom out, so I didn't even feel guilty about it!

In Ella news, she leaves Hawaii today and is heading to Dumas, TX! I wonder what in the world she'll find to get into THERE! I know she has had a grand time in Hawaii with Quilly - the two have become fast friends and I'm sure they will miss each other. It's always sad to say goodbye...

The Wordzzle Challenge is hosted each week by Raven

This Week's Ten Word Challenge: tattletale, homogeneous, flighty, cornucopia, plethora, militant, lovelorn, myopic, digitalized, mute

Oh, I am so MAD at that bratty little militant tattletale I could just spit nails! Do you know what she's done? We were having a perfectly fair and FUN little competition to see who could snag the most spewlies on campus... you don't know what a spewlie is? Oh! They are those homogeneous little bobble things they put in the mugs down at the pub! You know... after a few too many (or even one) they're fun to toss around and play with! But it was just for fun! Ya know? EVERYBODY has them! So anyway... I just happened to mention it to the soccer team after Tuesday night's win and they all saved their spewlies for ME! I didn't ASK 'em to! They just did it! Well, little miss flirty flighty is rather lovelorn at the moment and has her myopic eye set on Chad - you know - captain of the team! It doesn't seem to matter a fig that HE hasn't even noticed she exists, while Brandon's tongue is practically hanging on the ground every time she walks by... she won't give him the time of day! So now she's all snarly at ME because Chad gave me his spewlies! It's not like she caught us under the bleachers or something! So... what'd she do? She went to the DEAN! Now mind you, she DIDN'T tell on the soccer team! Just on ME! So of course, MY dorm was searched and they found my plethora of spewlies spilling out of the cornucopia on my shelf... Sure, I coulda made up some canned story about "finding" them all or how they were all given to me or something, but it just wasn't worth it - ya know? I mean, EVERYBODY has spewlies! What's the big deal? Well... I'll tell ya... the big deal is that NOW, since she tattled, spewlies are no longer allowed on campus! This is sO juvenile! Next they'll be installing digitalized breath analysis on campus or something! The whole thing has just left me MUTE! (can't you tell?)

And for the Mini Challenge: washing machine, cholesterol, blatantly, Birdman of Alcatraz, poltergeist

Did you ever have one of those days where nothing goes right? Today was one of those days. It started out with poltergeist in my washing machine, moved on to a bat in the basement about the size of the Birdman of Alcatraz! How it got in there, I have no idea! Then the doctor called with my the results of my blood tests.
My cholesterol is sky high! Satan is blatantly messing with me, and I'm going back to bed and pray! Maybe when I get up again, it will all be over!

Bridging The Gap - Day 7... Photo Hunt - Beautiful ... and stuff...

Day 7

I soooooo did not find a bridge yesterday. Life got complicated... but I did find some other things I'll share later! So I've been scouring my archives and I came up with THIS! I had forgotten all about it!

This is a bridge I found by accident. It is up in the woods near Keuka Lake, in New York. I had seen a little stream that I wanted to photograph, but I didn't have time at that moment... so on the way back, I was pretty much stopping at each and every one looking to see if it was THE one - cuz of course I couldn't remember a landmark to help me find it! I never did find the one I was looking for... but I stumbled across this little bridge - waaay hidden away! When I found it I really FELT like I was tresspassing... but at the same time I was sO intrigued by it! It was sort of like finding the "Secret Garden". If you look close (and you can big it) you'll notice that there is wire fencing to keep people like me out! I did honor that! But I got a picture! Again... never knew I might need it! Just wanted it.

And I've been holding this one back until the end - as an extra!
Little Luz doin' the Bridge in her gymnastics class!
YAY!

Thank you SO much Alice!
Bridging the Gap has been great fun!

Today's Theme: Beautiful

I'm sure we're going to see a g'zillion of these today...
but you can't deny it's beautiful!
I love this peach beauty with the pink blush on the edges!
I found it at the Brookside Garden's
(same place I find my butterflies)

****************************

For those of you who were still working on sending me rain yesterday - THANK YOU!!! We did get a good ground drenching! Of course, I didn't get to stay home and read a book and enjoy it ... but I got to be out IN it and enjoyed it just the same! As a matter of fact, the rain was the highlight of my day!

No papers were picked up at the old lawyers office. The new lawyer is HOPPIN' mad! We all knew the papers wouldn't be there... but technicalities and formalities are the things Law is made of... So, I did my part. Now the battle begins! I'm just a cheer leader in all this... except when Dennis needs to write a letter. Then he sweet-talks me! But from here on out, it should be Julie writing the letters, I believe.

We had an "incident" with Mom last night. We don't really know what happened, but she either got up and fell, or she fell out of her bed. We're really not sure. Dennis had already gone to bed, and I was working on photos when I heard a THUNK! I went flyin' up the stairs, and into Mom's room and she was kneeling on the floor by her bed, and her little table was cockeyed. I asked her what happened -- but ... oy! Once she's had that blue sleeping pill... communication gets ROUGH! Her explanation was that she was talking to that couple over there - and she pointed to her lamp! Dennis came runnin' in, and we got her up and sitting on the bed. She had her pajama top unbuttoned. I have a feeling she had been UP. She had some blood in the corner of her mouth, and she's got a new abrasion on her arm. Other than that she seems okay. 99% of the time that sleeping pill knocks her so far out she couldn't get up if her life depended on it. But every now and then... something goes haywire! Last night was one of those nights!

Dennis left this morning for a week in Pennsylvania. Mom & I will have left for the beach before he gets home next weekend -- this means we aren't going to see him for 4 whole weeks! WOW! We've never been away from each other for THAT long before!

Wordzzle will be up a little later today. I was too tired to finish it last night... so I gotta do it this morning! Y'all have a great day!

1000th POST!!! ... and Photo Hunt... and Dragons!

Whooooooo hooooooooo! Counting it down really worked to help me remember it! This is THE FIRST blog milestone I have managed to celebrate! I guess it was worth the wait! Don't plan on another one until 2000! LOL! Soooo... now that I've made such a big deal about it, you're all expecting me to have some FABULOUS post for you... but sadly, I don't! It's just another ol' day at Insanity Prevails and so it's just another ol' post! I guess they're good enough - cuz y'all keep comin' back to read 'em all the time... amazes me... but ya do! I AM going to open up a photo challenge though, in honor of today's post. You'll hear about it at the end! But for right now, today is the Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt ... and we need to move along!

Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

Today's Theme: DARK
Up until yesterday I had NO idea what I was doing for this hunt! I have a horrible time with taking photo's in the dark - they NEVER come out good - even with a tripod! If I have the whole settled camera thing happening, then I can't get a decent focus... or SOMEthing! Soooo... it actually was this hunt that made me get out my tripod yesterday and go DOWN in the dungeon of a basement for several hours, and TRY to come up with ONE decent picture I could use for this photo hunt! I did already have a post in mind for sometime in the next week or so... so I decided now is as good a time as any ... and I went with that theme - because of the basement thing... So, for Dr. John - and anyone else interested... I would like to introduce you to my Dragon!

THIS photo of Dragon was taken DEEP within his cave!
It is very DARK and cold in there!

Now... I must tell you... I am NOT a fantasy person. I do NOT like science fiction novels and my imagination does NOT make up stories about knights and maidens and *sigh* dragons and such. But I do happen to be very FOND of dragons... and this one is friendly, at least toward ME, and so I keep him! As a matter of fact... I PAINTED this one! He came to me as plain ol' white piece of resin dragon. I think he cost me about $2 and at the time I NEEDED him desperately! Oh! Dragon comes out when the sun comes up! Isn't he gorgeous in the early morning light? Yes, I NEEDED him because back in the day I used to play Warhammers! WHAT? You've never heard of Warhammers??? Where have you been all your life? Well... it's okay! I had never heard of them either until my youngest son's BEST friend got cancer, and was quite confined and needed something really fun and interesting to distract him. HE (Scott) discovered Warhammers and introduced Derek to them. Derek of course, introduced ME because sOMebody had to finance this hobby -- and it's an EXPENSIVE one!!! So, while the boys were into the futuristic space station robotic type Warhammer 40,000 series, I started noticing some gamers playing with these darling little itty bitty dwarfs. And it wasn't long before Derek, Scott and I were all sitting together around our table PAINTING these itty bitty figures that ALL come to us in one basic battleship gray color. This is definitely a "design your own" army! So, once I had a few good battalions painted, and I was actually ready for my first battle I started paying a little more attention to some of the "extras" that folks had added to their game, and it became OBVIOUS to me that I NEEDED a dragon! Now, Warhammers happened to HAVE a ferocious two-headed MONSTER of a dragon that I could buy and paint for about $65... or I could go to Michaels and buy this little guy for $2 and have just as much fun! Are you starting to SEE why he likes me now??? So dragon was actually bought to be a "pet" and "protector" to my itty little dwarfs. But then I came across a guy who had a whole 'nuther REALM of dwarfs! These were dwarfs on STEROIDS and they were called Dragon Slayers! Oh my gosh! Well... ya know... sOMetimes we didn't want to travel all the way down to the mall to play our Warhammers. We had actually set up our own gaming table in Derek's room and sometimes my little itty bitty dwarfs needed somebody to go battle against here in the comfort of our own home. And so before I knew what was happening, I was collecting a whole nother army - yes of Dragon Slayer dwarfs! And sOMetimes it got UGLY!

But let me tell you a little something about dwarfs and dragons. A) Dragons have some POWERFUL magic! And... even though the Slayers may be on steroids... they are still smaller than a dragon! ... and B) The Little Dwarfs Rune Lord has INCREDIBLY powerful magic! Well... what would you expect from a Rune Lord??? Most of the time my little guys did just FINE! I lost a few battles... and Dragon picked up a scar here and there... but for the most part, he has survived just fine... and is enjoying retirement!

A few more shots...
... you can Big 'em!

And NOW for my Photo Challenge! Can you GUESS? I want us to go on a DRAGON HUNT! I'm somewhat entirely opposed to the actual taking of a dragon's life... so please limit your hunting to photographs ONLY! Let's see how many dragons we can find in the next 7 days! Starting tomorrow (on Sunday) and running through next Saturday! Okay? I'm not going to put up a linky - but I will put up a separate dragon hunter post each day (even if I'm UNable to come up with a dragon!) for everyone to comment in and then I will be able to come find your dragons! I know... sOMe of you have enough dragons in your home to keep you photographing for a month! Other's of us are not so fortunate and may have to actually take a trip to China Town or something!!! LOL! The important thing though - is just have FUN!

Oh! And... enjoy the Olympics!
I actually WILL be watching some television this week!
I LOVE the Olympics!

Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt - Clouds

Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

Today's Theme: CLOUDS

This is a bit closer view of my Skywatch from
yesterday!

*********************

By the way Quilly... This was not yesterday's sky! Had it BEEN yesterday's sky, I might NOT have been as growly! ;) It was taken a couple of weeks ago! However... all God had to DO to make me happy yesterday was... send YOU to make that comment in my blog!!! LOL! That brought the FIRST big smile to my face! Many more followed!

Vada worked out nicely yesterday! I think... I hope... she'll be fine. She is an older woman herself - 62 - as opposed to Tammy's 23! So she probably makes a more suitable companion for Mom. She also talks about 700 wmp so even if Mom WERE a talker - which she's not - she won't be able to get a word in edgewise! This is gOOd for Mom - she loves to listen to people talk! She thinks she's having a conversation when that happens! I'm NOT a big talker... contrary to what some certain bloggers who have met me might be thinking... Mostly I guess it depends on who I'm with. So anyway... I think Mom probably really LIKES being with Vada! And Vada seems to be kinda lonely and just needs somebody to let her get her 20,000 word quota out each day! Before the day was over Vada was offering to come get Mom ON HER DAYS OFF and take her places JUST FOR FUN! Soooooo now I'm wondering about her sanity. But that's okay - cuz I wonder about MINE too! Anyway they went to the mall and then went to see the movie version of Mama Mia! ... Vada LOVED it. I'm sure Mom loved it too - but she doesn't remember. :( She just knows that it was a gOOd day because she had an overall feeling of well-being! If Mom has a feeling of well-being, we ALL have a feeling of well-being!

So what did I do with MY free time then? I blogged. NO! That's NOT all! I did laundry too. LOL! Annnnnnd I took Krysti's car in for 2 more estimates and then finally dropped it off at Harold's where it will spend the "better part of the next two weeks" being probed, poked, pulled, pushed, and painted -- but will come home feeling and looking much better! And in TIME for Krysti to drive it away to her new college in 3 weeks!

And that brings us to TODAY... which is the BIG day in our family because it is Dennis' and my 22nd wedding anniversary - yes it is! I actually did blog our wedding 2 years ago if you are interested in a re-cap! AND it is Amanda's 32nd birthday! Thus the reason the whoooooole family is going out for a fun evening to the DC IMPROV where I PROMISE I will NOT get hypnotized! But I will probably laugh my butt off watching others! If I could get Amanda up there I would REALLLLLY laugh my butt off! If I could get Hubby up there, they'd probably have to hospitalize me for laughing too hard! The problem is I don't know how they get ANYbody to get up there and be the guinea pig - but I guess sOme folks are willing! So, tonight we will be having a fabulous dinner at Morton's Steak House and then the show. This is gonna be sO fun!

Photo Hunt ... A Mom & Me Meme.... Project Black

Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

Today's Theme: What IS that?

I really wasn't sure what to DO with this photo hunt this week. I don't know if we're supposed to be playing a guessing game or if we were supposed to find some kind of object that NOBODY knows what it is... I know there ARE no "supposed to's" in the Photo Hunt... but sometimes it would be good to have some sort of definition of what we're doing here! I couldn't find any unusual stuff... so I opted to go with the guessing game... I don't think this one is really too hard -- but daughter Krysti did NOT see it for what it is at all -- so I decided to go with this one! :P
The answer is further down in today's post.

What IS that?

*************************

And Yet Another Meme
THIS meme came to me in the email box from my niece first and then from my children. So, I answered them by email - because only my niece reads my blog - and then when I was putting it ON my blog, I decided to let MOM play this time too!!! Sooooooo... Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt -- Emotions

Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

Today's Theme: Emotions

I searched and searched through my archives for a photo that I had actually taken to use for today... but there was just nothing there that could even come close to depicting the emotion captured in these 3 shots. For my regulars, this is a repeat -- but it's worth repeating. These were the photo's my daughter took when they gave me the news that I was going to be Luz's Nana! It was ON my 50th birthday, and she brought me a gift bag with a card inside. All it said was "It's a girl!" I can still tell you the exact thoughts for each picture taken!

1st - We're gettin' a BABY!!! (and for a brief moment - I wondered from which kid!)
2nd - I'm gonna be a Grandma! YES!!!!!
3rd - Oh Dear Sweet Jesus, Thank you! Thank you! THANK you!!!

I was crying real tears -- but they were the most JOYFUL tears I have ever cried in my life!!!

Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt ... MY Body Part??? Ugh!

Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

Today's Theme: Self (yourself or part of you)

I've been dreading this particular hunt day. My days of weight loss ended about August last year. I was doing a good job of maintaining up until life went haywire. But since December my weight has steadily climbed and it's just aggravating the bejeebers outta me! I knOw what I NEED to do. It's just a matter of DOING it... and I never seem to get it done! I get back into exercising and then something comes up and I don't for a day or two -- and then it's shot! Sooooooo... anyway... I haven't had any interest in posting pics of myself recently!!! I actually took a picture of my EAR and was just going to post that part -- it's still fairly thin! But then I decided I might as well just come clean... It's so sad... but here it is...

Definitely headin' in the wrong direction...

Okay...
So, here's the EAR!
(see? it's skinny!)

Around the House...

Wow! You won't believe it! The AC Team got OUT of here around noonish yesterday! I was amazed! Especially since there were only two of them - and they had actually requested 4 for the demo anyway... But a couple of their guys had really tragic accidents this week... so it was just the two. (sending prayers for the other two.) But the two did fine -- they had the original out by about 8:15 and then hustled their butts to get the new one in and charged and ready to go! They wanted to be OUT of my attic before the HOT part of the day comes!!! The cold air is spewing forth up there -- so I guess they did it right! Here is the promised picture(s) of my room...
Yes, the baskets ARE on the bed during the day so
that we have some area to walk around in.

At night they go back on the floor - and God HELP
us if we have to get up during the night!!!

I've been going through stuff and I've tossed 4 big green trash bags full of stuff already! I want to wash every stitch of the clothing before it goes back in the closet -- because it has all picked up a bit of the odor! However... I HAD begun that project - but gave it up when I realized that I really do not have ANYwhere else to put the clothes -- once they're clean they just have to go right back in the pile! So what good is THAT??? Meanwhile, my huge walk-in closet sits... empty! Waiting for the smell to go away. I would LOVE to spend my weekend doing laundry - but I don't think that's going to happen... yet.

I'm not sure what IS going on this weekend. I know we girls want to go see the new Sex In The City movie --- yep! Even ME! I never watched the show when it was on -- but I spent two weeks watching 6 seasons when I bought the set for Amanda for Christmas! I was sO sorry when those two weeks were done... LOL! I really did LIKE that show! Most of it anyway. ONE of the girls is a little LOT too raunchy for me... but I kind of ignore her. Mostly I just liked the Carrie & Big story line! *shrug* Anyway... we haven't heard from Amanda yet if she can go - and we really do all want to go together. So... we'll see. (what was the last movie I saw before this one? The Devil Wears Prada - its been awhile - the girls talked me in to that one!)

That's it. I'm done! Have a pleasant weekend y'all!
