Today's Theme: What IS that?

I really wasn't sure what to DO with this photo hunt this week. I don't know if we're supposed to be playing a guessing game or if we were supposed to find some kind of object that NOBODY knows what it is... I know there ARE no "supposed to's" in the Photo Hunt... but sometimes it would be good to have some sort of definition of what we're doing here! I couldn't find any unusual stuff... so I opted to go with the guessing game... I don't think this one is really too hard -- but daughter Krysti did NOT see it for what it is at all -- so I decided to go with this one! :P

And Yet Another Meme

THIS meme came to me in the email box from my niece first and then from my children. So, I answered them by email - because only my niece reads my blog - and then when I was putting it ON my blog, I decided to let MOM play this time too!!! Sooooooo... MY answers are in orange and are from yesterday... Mom's answer's are in blue and from this morning... and then if needed the truth about Mom's answers are in GREEN! Okay? Okay! Are we havin' fun yet?

1. Do you like blue cheese? Yes I do! I don't think I ever ate it. She hates it!

2. Have you ever smoked heroin? Ummm... NO! NO!

3. Do you own a gun? Only by marriage... No.

4. What flavor do you add to your drink at Sonic? We don't HAVE Sonic here... What's that?

5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments? SOMEtimes. No. She sweats bullets if she knows she has a doctors appointment! I don't tell her anymore until we get there!!!

6. What do you think of hot dogs? Occasionally ya just gotta have one! But ONLY occasionally! I think they're good to eat once in a while.

7. Favorite Christmas movie? Miracle on 34th Street - original version. It's a Wonderful Life. (I had to give her a list to choose from)

8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? coffeeeeeeee... Um... I wanna say coffee.

9. Can you do push ups? yep! Don't think I've ever tried. (and so she DID try! It was hysterical!)

10. What is your favorite piece of jewelry? My cross necklace. My wedding rings. She wears 6-8 rings every day all on two fingers and doesn't have a CLUE which ones - if any - are her wedding rings!

11. What is your favorite hobby? Photography & Blogging. I ain't got no hobbies. That's for sure!

12. What is one trait that you love about yourself? My generosity. That I was good to my kids.

13. What is one trait you hate about yourself? My cowardice. That I can't lose weight.

14. Middle name? *gag* Clare Harriet

15. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment?
1. I need to go clean the potatoes. What are we gonna do today?
2. I need to get them in the microwave for dinner. Who am I gonna see today?
3. I wonder why Krysti always needs to make HER dinner while I'm in the middle of making the one that she WON'T eat? I don't know what another one is. We were lucky to get two - it was a struggle!

16. Name 3 things you bought yesterday.
1. Twelve more leather bracelets for the middle schoolers. Nothing. White Crocs.
2. glue dots Tan canvas shoes
3. glitter sparkle sun catcher paint

17. Name 4 drinks you regularly drink. coffee, water, pepsi, milk ... Coffee, iced tea, milk. (if I tie her down and pour it down her throat, water.)

18. Current worry? No worries at the moment. Got a lot of worries... but couldn't think of one!

19. What do you hate right now? Television ... but I always hate it. I don't hate nothin. (cuz I'm not trying to wrangle her into the bathtub!)

20. Favorite place to be? ALMOST anywhere else. With my family & friends.

21. How did you bring in the New Year? At Amanda's house toasting the new year with Water... with Luz! Watched television til they showed it, and then went to bed. ( today she thinks it's 1920)

22. Where would you like to go? LOTS of places but Greece first. I guess New York.

23. Name two people who will complete this? Family? I'm the last one. Friends... I dunno... Complete what?

24. Do you own slippers? NO! How did I end up the only one in the family without a BIG pair of ANIMAL slippers??? Uh... no, I don't think I do.

25. What shirt are you wearing? Turquoise t-shirt. A green one.

26. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets? No. I always slide off! They are gross! I never slept on any.

27. Can you whistle? barely ... *giggle* no...

28. Favorite color? All of them. Blue

29. Would you be a pirate? No way matey! Aargh Aargh! No. Where are you getting these questions?

30. What songs do you sing in the shower? I do not sing in the shower... I THINK in the shower! It's one of the few places I get some peace! I don't sing NO songs!

31. Favorite girl's name? Amanda... I mean Krysti... I mean Amanda... I mean Krysti... Carol

32. Favorite boy's name? Mathew... I mean Derek... I mean Mathew... I mean Derek... Charles

33. What is in your pocket right now? I dont have any pockets right now. Nothing. She doesn't have any pockets either or else there would be at least one tissue and a toothpick!

34. Last thing that made you laugh? Mom came home from being out all day with Tammy and introduced Dad & I to her "new" friend! Again. Right now! All these questions!

35. Best bed sheets as a child? Um... when I was a child sheets ONLY came in white cotton. Period. WHAT??? Gawd! We didn't have no special kinds of sheets...

36. Worst injury you have ever had? I s'pose when I stuck my heal in the spokes of a bicycle when I was only a year old. I don't remember anything worse than that... unless you count when I ripped a billion layers of skin off my calf while shaving... Oh Gawsh... I don't think I've had any injuries.

37. Do you love where you live? No. I like it... I don't LOVE it... but I like it. Does she KNOW where she lives? Noooo...

39. Who is your loudest friend? I am the loud friend! (hey! Amanda said that too! But she's my daughter - well... my friend too... but my daughter first... ) I can't think of a friend. That's just sad :(

40. How many dogs do you have? one. none. we live together!

41. Does someone have a crush on you? I have really serious doubts about that! I have NO idea!

42. What is your favorite book? The Bible! I don't have a favorite book.

43. What is your favorite candy? Milky Way Dark peppermints

44. What song do you want played at your funeral? I have NOT thought about this yet... but I'll make my play list... one of these days! Whatever one they want to!

45. What were you doing at 12:00 am? coloring... nothing... I just woke up and got up. She was sleeping. (thank God!)

46. What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up? Good morning God! Coffee.... What was we gonna do today.

When we took care of the mothers I doubt they would have answered the questions. I think she did a good job. I know how frustrating it can be to care for the previous generation. But it has it's rewards.
I may do this meme on Monday.

Melli, I loved that you included your mil in the meme. I thought it made it so much more interesting and she was occupied for a little bit and I'll bet you got a few good laughs at her answers, too. And the dog question, well, the dog is yours, not hers so her answer was correct.

Anyway, the dog photo for Project Black is wonderful. If that old broom head is what he chews on I'm not sure I want to get close although he looks so cute!

I enjoyed reading through the meme. Made me laugh. Which reminded me of my friend's answer to my question, "HOW can you be a leader for the 8th grade girls' flock group at church?" (At the time my youngest was in her group.) She said,"You spend all your time either crying or laughing. I prefer to laugh."

I love love black labs! I didn't guess either on the first photo. I thought it was wrapping paper around a pressie.

And finally, thanks. I'm glad you liked my hats photo. Those two hats hang on a stand by my front door.

I wouldn't have guessed the cups... very clever. The questions were fun and I enjoyed your comments on your mother's answers. Regarding the doctor's visits, since you no longer tell her about them, she is probably right that she doesn't worry. The photo of your dog is gorgeous as is he.
