Just Stuff...
Somewhere between New Hope, VA and my house...I love how it looks like it just runs right into the mountains.
Today was such an ordinary day. We just did ordinary things. We went to Salsarita's for lunch. Then we went to Kmart -- I got mom a new coat and hat. She had a rather light weight coat that got her through last winter just fine... but this winter is shaping up to be colder. It's ALREADY colder! She needed a WARM coat! She chose a gray one, so I picked out a bright pink hat to perk her up a little! (ya know... gray on gray just makes toooooo much gray!) LOL! She could have had a green or a pink coat - but she said "no, they get dirty too fast." ... cuz you know... she's out playin' tackle football and such... so gray it was. Then we stopped at the grocery store to pick up a prescription and stuff to make pumpkin pie. *nods* And then we went and got my oil changed. See? Just a plain ol' ordinary day. But at least things got accomplished. Oh! But when we got home, I pulled into the driveway and turned off the car, naturally. Mom looked at me... then she looked at the house... then she looked back at me and said "It don't look like there's any lights on." I said, nope ... there probly aren't. Then she said... "We just gonna go on in there and make ourselves at home?" ... I said YEP! We sure ARE! I'll even drop off these groceries here -- and put 'em away for 'em too! ROFL!!! If you ever get to peek in my window and I'm just sittin' shakin' my head... that's probly why! Dennis cooked pork chops on the grill tonight ... I LOVE that grill! Yea... the man's a keeper too! ;-)

That is a neat picture!
I love ordinary days, most of the time. I enjoy a change in routine sometimes -- just enough to make me want to go back to the routine!

Your man cooks a lot more than my man does. Maybe I should get OC a grill for Christmas?

Oh for an ordinary day!! Yeap i really can hear your mother in law saying that because it reminds me of Mrs. B...BLESS her as she really does think you are going into someone else's home!! She just does not remember!! As much as i liked sitting with Mrs. B i just could no longer do it!! Mentally it just drained me plus me not feeling very good either...Bet she looks good in a gray coat and pink hate..Just like Mrs. B going around making sure no light switch was on...have to save electricity..she even turned her daughter's computer off because it was blinking..I hate that time for these two...sandy

Your Mom stories keep flooding me with memories. But then my mother and mother-in-law never played football just bridge and canasta.
Dennis does more cooking than I ever did.

Beeeeeautiful photo Melli!!!! Ohhhhhh, sometimes I wish it would get colder here, but no...I quickly stop that thought. I like heat. And summer clothes.
KMart? Hmmmmm, I thought they went belly up. Learn something every day.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
