Friday Fave Five
1. Having Luz stay overnight this past weekend was a real treat! (and she's FULL of tricks!) Since she started school this year it's nice because I get to see little short visits with her periodically during the week... but it's really hard for them to make time for her to spend nights with Nana now. So this was very much a blessing! (And I'm BLESSED to live close enough that she can EVER spend the night!!!)
2. Okay... even though I am most definitely a SUMMER person - shorts, pools, oceans being my 3 favorite things... even I have to admit that having a REAL autumn this year is rather awesome! I'm realizing it has been a LOT of years since we've had a real autumn. It usually goes from Summer to Winter in 3.0 ...days. This year we're having truly "brisk" weather -- and yea - it feels g00d!
The leaves are prettier than they've EVER been - and I'm sure it's because of the slower change in temperature. And maybe THAT is why I haven't liked Fall before... I LIKE this!
3. I did finally get all the fall decorations out this week... The house is looking a little less beachy ... well... it can't be done away with entirely... but it's looking like FALL at the beach! Sorta. LOL! I'm starting to think I should get rid of the grass that won't grow and just plant sand - WITH dunes! Maybe I could paint the neighbor's driveway to look like an ocean! *eyes brighten*

4. Amanda & I had the BEST lunch at Applebee's on Wednesday! It wasn't the food - though that was good too --- but just being with her and having great conversation! She was very excited about a job interview she had just come from, and I had some news to share too. (more about that in a week or so!) And we just spent a really GREAT couple of hours together! I sO love when we can do that!
5. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion... I know I have mentioned this before - but not in a long time! I can't help it! It is the BEST moisturizing lotion EVER! It does NOT leave you greasy but it stays with you for an entire day! And it's fragrance free! I absolutely heart it! Especially from now until April!

Exciting news in about a week from now? Well I KNOW some exciting news you're going to want to share YOU don't know of just yet. And in about a week from now, YOU will know the news, but I will absolutely forbid you to share it with the rest of the world. HA!

Love the little pumkin decorations with the funny faces.
Your lunch with a friend sounds like fun. I think I am due for that!

Some of my fondest memories are from staying overnight with my Grandma. I was just thinking about those times this week!
I love fall, especially when it doesn't rush by. I've yet to get out my fall decorations, though. Maybe this weekend. Those little pumpkin faces are cute!
I love meals with my adult children. Well, I liked meals with them when they were little, too. But it's different -- yet fun.
You're going to make us WAIT when you tell us you have NEWS!?!?!

I got so tickled at the idea of you painting your neighbor's driveway - and your eyes brightening! I always smile when I come here!
I had wonderful times spending the night with my granny. I know you and Luz have wonderful times too. I can't wait to be a grandma, I so hope my grands will live close enough that I can do things with them.

I love your fall pics! I just posted ...sort of a rambling, apologetic post, but I also invited you to join my photo challenge to post pictures next Wednesday: just take pictures looking out your windows, front door, etc., so we can each see what our blogging buddies see every day. I thought it would be fun. :)
Back to crazy-busy (and business)!

I'm thinking Luz should be a pixie! The personality fits. She's so very cute. You are so blessed to have her nearby. My New Boy lives a long long way away :(
Have a great weekend!

You don't know how lucky you are to have Luz that close.
Our Fall is cold and rainy and dreary. Glad yours is better.
A blue driveway? Why not.
My goodness, of which there isn't much, news your going to tell us but not yet. Shame.
Moisturrizing lotion that works. The miracle of modern science.

What a cute little witch, lol !
I hate fall and can't see anything beautiful in it. The colored leaves are drying out and die, the trees do striptease and it's cold and grey or sunny and cold and the days are short !
Pheeww ! I wished I could move to Australia for autumn and winter !
Love your decoration !
