You've Got Mail! (no... I'VE got mail!)

Dear Diary...

TODAY the mailman came to my cabin! I was flabbergasted! The sender had NO idea that I collect stamps -- but just happend to have LOTS of fun licking and pasting them anyway!!!

I know that she thought that the contents INSIDE the envelope were the real gift... but she just doesn't know how HAPPY the outside made me!!! So who could have been so brilliantly unknowingly accidentally WONDERFUL??? I'll tell you! It was my fabulous Captain Stamp Licker Lifecruiser!!! And today I received my award for writing wonderful diary entries -- for which lately I have been so remiss! I confess, it did make me feel guilty!

So... dear diary... don't you even want to know what was INSIDE the package? I'll tell you! There was a darling little tea tray imprinted with a photograph of Stockholm -- which I had no idea was made up of so many islands and bridges -- but it is! 14 island connected by 53 bridges! Amazing! And that is just ONE city!

Along with the cute little tray came Sweden, The Secret Files and Sweden MORE Secret Files so that I will be in the know of all the most wonderful information that Swedes were hoping to keep all to themselves! I will share some of that with you in just a moment! But I want to tell you that the last thing in the package was the cutest little poodle bookmark -- for YOU dear diary! All for you! For me to tuck into your pages and keep track of where I left off writing!

Now... shall I share with you some of the divine SECRETS tucked inside the files? Just listen to THIS!

I quote! "The NORMAL Swede" - wouldn't we all like to be normal? Well - it says right here that so would the Swedes! For "Every Swede should aspire to being normal and average. There's no greater compliment than to be called an ordinary kind of person. To 'be as people usually are' is a fine way to describe yourself and you'll instantly earn others' respect. Successful people are just normal people who have had a spot of luck - but it won't last. Every Swede can tell you about 'Jantelagen', the law of Jante. This states that you shouldn't think you are anybody just because you are somebody. Somebody who is somebody pretend to be nobody because anybody can be nobody and nobody would really want to be seen as somebody in the eyes of anybody." UNquote!

Oh dear! POOR Captain Lifecruiser! Surely she IS somebody! We best work on turning her into a nobody so that somebody won't confuse her for somebody and lose all respect for her!

Another little secret? Ah! Here we go! In Sweden, the word for "sex" is the same as the word for "six" -- which, according to the book, gives a six-pack a whole new meaning! ROFL!!!

And... they have a new language in their country called "Swenglish" -- I'm afraid I can't teach it here! I'm very much looking forward to my next stop in this delightful country! I hope it will be for real and not a cyber-stop though!

In case Captain Lifecruiser should poke her head in this weekend to see what goes on in my cabin, I should remember to tell her tack tack tusen tack!!! This gift is lagom bra!

Until next time...

You have no idea how happy I am to read that you finally got the things I sent you! I was beginning to fear that it had been lost on the way somewhere!!! PHEW

How perrrrfect with the stamps being sent to the righ person. Actually this is stamps from my own old stamp collection that I decided no to keep, so I've begin to use it. It is stamps from the seventies and forward, so some of the stamps on your envelope can be as old as that if yo're lucky!

We have had excellent stamps in Sweden earlier, properly engraved -the ones made nowadays are not that good any longer. I did choose them carefully for your envelope, to represent Sweden :-)

So, now you can talk Swenglish huh? *giggles*

I think to put some gaz in the fire you should ask "why did Bush built a labyrinth in White House's parc and does not coming out anymore" then you would have politics and religion in one shot ! and your mailbox will be overfilled (he, he) !

My life is for sale -- I have 10 packages to cart to the post office tomorrow -- and not one of them will have a real stamp on it. All those bar code thingies. I bet folks like you hate me!

Wow, that is such a cool mail! And I love the stamps on the outside - they're so authentic! =)

I am lost after reading that quote, trying to grasp its logic. LOL! =P

I thought there's Manglish, Chinglish, Singlish and Denglish. Hahaha, looks like there's a Swenglish too! =P

Hahaha! Oh dear! I will never look at six packs the same way ever again! =O =P
