Sky Watch Friday... and... and... and...
is hosted by Tom
This windmill is located at the corner store near where I live. You know - the little market with the cow on the roof! Yes... it's a famous landmark! And yes... I'm out in the country a ways... The sky wasn't really all that interesting this week - so I made my own interest!
And this is another view of it ... which I would use IF I was playing From The Ground Up... but I'm not!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Around The House...
I arranged for Tammy to come and take Mom an hour earlier today -- and to keep her out an hour later. I'm HOPING that everything is done, cleaned up, and outta here before she comes home. She does okay with things out of the ordinary -- but I think the noise ALL DAY might agitate her a bit.
And speaking of being agitated... I have been. Quite a lot lately. I think 6 months into having her living with us is finally taking it's toll. Along with the other stresses that have been going on recently... a couple of my kids and even darling grandbaby have mentioned that I'm "mean" lately. I'm going to talk to my doc about upping the dosage of my anti-depressant. I'm slow - but I think I'm exhibiting enough symptoms to know that 10 mg isn't doing it anymore. I don't like being "mean".
No Fill-ins or Feast for me today... so
I guess I'll have a little
Alphabet Soup
which I swiped from Barbara's Stray Thoughts
...again.
(as if I haven't babbled enough today...)
A is for age: 50!!! The grandest age in all the world!!!
B is for burger of choice: Any grilled burger - but just a regular burger - you know... ketchup, mustard, pickles... I do like to TRY something different from time to time - but for most often I just want a good grilled burger!
C is for car you drive: Ford Expedition! (it's still chuggin'!)

L is for last restaurant you ate at: Ledo's (hey! it starts with "L" too!)

N is for number of piercings: one in each ear... but they've closed up.
O is for overnight hospital stays: 176,539,236,253,203... who wants to know? (why does this question come up every time there's an "O"???) ... and yes... I'm kidding!

Oh my ! I am certainly not envious with you today ! God is with you but not with me ! It rains and rains and our roof cannot be finished ! For the anti moss treatment and painting we need sunshine ! So I have a real mess in our mini garden ! (and dirt)
Sometimes you need medical help to handle your life. I know it very well from the past. It's only about 3 years now, that I am feeling really well inside, outside and from top to bottom !

I like your attitude: I created my own interest! Excellent. That will serve you well as you care for your Mom. I moved parents in with me 2 years ago. It's joyful, but not always easy.

I really love the windmill pics! Sorry you are feeling crabby these days. Maybe when you get the new a/c it will help and the new meds, too. Hope there isn't a dead rat or something in your closet. Ug..that happened to us once a LONG time ago...man..we have never forgotten that.

I saw that alphabet thingie at Sandy's the other day and I'm working on doing it at some point. ::laughing at your "I got a "V" word for next T-13"::
Ya, I put Winston on the new window cushion but he jumped off right away and licked himself. And Tahoe? She is just working on getting more plump by the day. Her perch is in front of the patio doors...without climbing or over exerting herself y'know.
But, I think once the birds realize there is seed back in the feeder, they'll show up, and Winston will be on his perch again.
Cats!! Thing is, while I was working on this this week, the first person I thought of was P J and her crew. LOL

Way too much information. LOL
I like the photographs. I haven't seen a windmill on a farm in many years. Used to see them all the time.

I hope the AC guys aren't your traditional maintenance morons and actually do the job right!
And you've taken on a lot lately. I think you can cut yourself a bit of a break on being "mean." But I hope you can get your metaphorical "punching bag" taken care of so you can be the happy Melli we all know and love.

First, good luck with the air conditioning unit! Prayers being sent!
Second, I had Hubby's dad with us for well over a year before he had a stroke and then between the Alzheimer's and the stroke it was too much for me. I tried and I cried, but eventually we had to find a nursing living facility. They were a godsend. He lived another three years they took such good care of him and I remained in my right mind.

Good for you for changing that X question! Every alphabet thing does seem to include that. I hope the AC gets taken case of quickly and without complication.

I hope the AC is in and working!! When you have it going and every one is NOT hot every thing is easier!!!!! For sure!!
Hey, I never thought about taking something to help me though while caring for Nancy! This might be a good idea!! I know the girls tells me I should take her medicine for being calm and not her and all would be fine!! They were just kidding! But really maybe a little something would not hurt!
Love and Hugs, Grams

Sorry to hear that you are not your happy smiling self lately but I think that I can see why!! You have a little "bit" too much on your plate there Melli!! I know there is no way to cut back either. Maybe you do need to go to 20 mg!! Who knows. I hope this all changes and soon. Sandy

Honestly, it's a crabby time of year for moms. It's been stressful and hard here with kids getting ready to get out of school, MDO out, but us employees still working (in fact we're repainting every classroom - OMG does it look great, and we're only 1/2 way done!!). So i get you with stress and being a *b* with a short fuse.
but if you notice and realize it's more than that - just the time of year, being busy, NO AC, etc., then it probably is more. but i'm hoping not. i'm hoping that the smelly closet, AC down and daily life are just adding up.

Can't have you mean...by all means talk to your doc. I think a week at the beach is a good prescription. I know sweet giggles and baby kisses has done wonders for me.

I love the first photo. It looks like a piece of art rather than a piece of machinery.
Melli, since you always have such great posts about your grandchild, I want to invite you to check out my new meme that will start on Tuesday. It's called "Silly Monkey Stories."
