Jussssst Thursday 13... (that's all. really.)
Thursday Thirteen
In which YOU learn 13 things about ME
that begin with letter...
In which YOU learn 13 things about ME
that begin with letter...

1. Ruby Tuesday's -- IF you don't already know that lunch out with friends is my favoritest activity in the world, then you are learning it now! And Ruby Tuesday's is NOT my favorite restaurant in the world -- but it IS my favorite Salad Bar! In my house, Ruby's is considered fast food! It's as fast as we EVER want food to be!
2. Rain -- You regulars know this already too. I loooooooove rain! Someday I will visit Belgium to enjoy their rainy weather! Of course, Gattina will be the icing on that cake trip!
3. Roller coasters -- Me! Me! Me! I wanna ride! One of the biggest rewards I got from losing my weight was that I was able to ride the roller coasters without a lap belt extender. (and in some cases, just being able to FIT in the seat!) I hope I haven't gained too much back for this! Roller coaster season IS upon us!!!
4. Rummy -- I love to play games -- and especially cards! Rummy rates amongst my favorites! The kids and I like to play a version (i forget what it's called) that requires certain "sets" for each round - and they grow increasingly harder with each round too. You have to "buy" cards and all sorts of nonsense! It's great fun!!!
5. Redhead -- If you don't know THIS about me, you should!!! It's THE most important thing you'll ever need to know about me! I am like Charlie Brown's little girlfriend - the one with "Naturally Curly Red Hair"... *nods*... though we've all noticed a LOT more gray creeping in recently! (no wonder Mom thinks I'm her mother...) *grin*
6. Reliable -- I definitely AM reliable! I don't think I've ever had a boss that would disagree. If given a task, I see that it's done -- to 150% of my best ability!
7. RICH -- LOL! You laugh??? I AM rich! I am rich in God's love; blessed with a wonderful family, and many many good and caring friends! What MORE do I need???
8. Rebel -- Oh yes I am! I was ALWAYS accused of being a rebel when I was young. And I don't think I've gotten over it yet! If there is "something" going on that I disagree with in principal or in fact, I will FIGHT it! And I don't think I'm wrong to do it! If I believe something is "unjust" and that I can make a difference in changing it -- I'm ALL IN on that! This is one of those things that earned me the title of "hard headed". I am that too!
9. Real -- Yea... I think y'all know ... what you read is what you get!
10. Roamer -- Rambler? Well... I'm not a house. I looooove to roam! If I'm in the car (especially away from home) and I'm not in a hurry to BE someplace, I love to see a sign or just see a road - and follow it! Let's SEE what's down here?! Some of my best explores have come about this way! Oh... I don't worry about getting "lost" either. Lost is SUCH a state of mind! No matter how "away" you are from where you want to be... there's always a way to get back!
11. Reader -- Yes! This is me! I loooove to read! As a matter of fact, I can't fall asleep at night without reading! That is bad! There are times when it is very inconvenient to need to read a few pages!
12. Resilient -- This is a good word for me. I am really pretty good at "bouncing back". I'm not always "up" the way some folks think I am. But when I get down (and I get down pretty deep when I get) I bounce back pretty quick! It's more like being on a trampoline than trying to dig myself out of a hole. (good thing - I'm not that great with a shovel!)
13. Regular -- TMI? Should I have stopped at 12 this week? Well... I'm just sayin'...

Awwww....this is a great list, Melli. I LOVE Rollercoasters too! We could ride together sometime.
You have some great words here that really sum up who you are.

I have to read before bed too, I know what you mean! Just feel like there's something I haven't done if I don't!
If you're looking for some rollercoasters I found some in Hershey Pennsylvania (did my TT on it last week) at Hershey Park, I didn't go there, I get motion sick, but they had something like, 11, or maybe it was actually 13 all right there!
Happy TT!

Somehow I have never eaten in a Ruby Tuesday's -- I must try one! But lunch out is one of my favorite things, too.
I'm afraid I'm not a roller coaster fan -- you can have my turns. :-)
Love #7!! Reliability and resiliency are WONDERFUL traits. And I am an avid reader, too.
You mentioned on my blog hoping that my MIL and I get along well in light of her moving here. We've always done ok -- but we have never been around each other as much as we will be then. :-) We share a love of reading -- I pass along my books to her -- but that's not something you can really do together. Well, I guess you can -- but it sames strange to go over and visit and pop out a book. :-) I told my husband if it was my mom, I would know what kinds of things to suggest doing -- I am not so sure with his mom. We'll have to play it by ear.
She's always been extremely shy about meeting people (she's hard of hearing and has a bit of a speech impediment and is self-conscious about it), so that will make this new experience even harder. But I am hoping once she makes friends with some of the folks she'll do fine and even thrive.
The director said it is a lot like taking your child to school the first time. You try to help them adjust but it is good to step back and let them get acclimated and learn to handle it. We'll try for that balance -- being supportive as needed but not hindering her adjustment there by overdoing it.

That's a great list! You know my Katie was a redhead and when she was born I was so shocked by the red hair! Like you, she had bright strawberry red curls!
My TT is up.

Morning Melli!
I was just about to click on your link at my blog when you left a comment.
Your #12 is a cool word. And yes, I DO think you're QUITE resilient! When you say "I bounce right back"...I'm assuming it's not your boobs of course. [kidding, just kidding]
Great TT as always.

Yep, that's how I see it. So glad you did my Thursday Thirteen for me - can I just cut and paste? LOL!!!
