Summer's Gone?
We woke up this morning to a very chilly very windy day ... and what the weatherman is calling Hurricane waves - minus the hurricane! But IF this post publishes, you will see from the pics that the ocean is NOT a friendly ocean today -- although it IS still a beautiful ocean!this morning... until her teeth started chattering... despite
her blue hooded sweatshirt!

Well we have had cooler temps come in today too so something must be going on...How much longer do you have at the beach? Keep having a fun time...

Yes I do believe summer has past. The clue for me has been the shorter days. Except for a few days we have continued to be warmer than normal.

Wow ! the sea looks sooo beautiful ! It reminds me the English coast when the waves were so high and the sea so rough !

It sure is beautiful, but you're right, I wouldn't want to get in it in that state.

I love that first one Melli! I so miss the VA/NC beaches being up here in the country.

Beautiful, though, isn't it? I love an ocean storm -- as long as it's not destructive.

Pretty to look at, but dangerous to swim in ... that is for sure!!Sitting by the ocean and listening to the sounds of the waves is wonderful....Hugs, Baba

That is so interesting about the hurricane waves w/o the hurricane. Must have been a storm out at sea that caused it. Just saw there is another one forming out there. Hope it doesn't go into the Gulf...it is just too soon and we are going to Port Aransas next week.
Much to do today. Trying to get new drapes up and that involves a lot of other stuff.
Loved your visit to Assateague. We have to get up your way sometime...if nothing else but to drop in on my husband's aunt and uncle.
