Time FLIES!

Man! I can not BELIEVE I haven't posted anything since the weekend! Life is just crazy! And fun! As you can see, my little deck garden is coming along... I almost have a salad ready to harvest! I'll probably pick a pepper, some squash, and some cherry tomatoes on Sunday... maybe Monday. We're having crabs on Sunday for Father's Day, so I probably will wait until Monday. *nods*
Tonight we are going over to Amanda's for a LAST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN celebration with Luz! Pizza & Ice cream - oh BOY! This has been the longest school year in the history of our county schools - and still I can't believe it's over. My peanut is DONE kinder! I almost want to cry! However... I am LOVING having them live SO CLOSE to me! This is the BEST! I got to go over yesterday - spur of the moment - to help her clean and put things away! Tomorrow we are going to be working in her yard to get it cleaned up and in order so she can start babysitting and keep the little ones SAFE! The MEN are going to be installing some fencing to close off the part of the yard that they don't want to have to mow and "keep up". They are SO excited with their new home! And I am excited for them!
As though I don't have enough to do right now, some friends from church invited me to join their bowling team for the summer! It's a Senior's league and they had to lower the age requirements to get me on -- but they DID it! So now I am bowling on Monday afternoons for the rest of the summer! LOL! I haven't been on a bowling league since I was pregnant with the twins!!! Yea... THAT long ago! My average... all those many years ago was only a 135 ... so I was pretty darned happy to bowl a 114, a 121 and 127 this past Monday! This is a very laid back league though ... they wouldn't care if I was bowling 50's! They are ALL just there to have fun! MY kind of league, for sure!
Annnnnnnd ... I'm still working on VBS stuff. Dennis just reminded me I have 2 days before I have to have the table cleaned off for crabs! OY!!! I better come visit... and then get back to work! I gotta leave soon!

I found my way here after reading the comment you left on Betty's blog about letting kids play in dirt. I thought it was so funny that you said your mother would say, "let them eat a peck of dirt before they die." My grandmother used to say the exact same thing and all these years I always thought it was something she came up with. I had never heard anyone else say it.

Blue nails! :)
Your deck garden is spectacular, and much further along than mine! What are you feeding those plants? Between the nails, the slideshow, and your bowling scores, I am in awe. Now get that table ready for crabs and have a terrific weekend!♥

After being a bee, you are now very "in" with your blue colored nails, lol ! Is that the second puberty ??
Wow your plants are growing and you say that no flowers grow with you, at least you can eat the tomatoes !
I didn't get the story with Luz and Amanda, did they move in the new house already ? I thought I had read all your posts.
Since yesterday Waterloo is full of journalists from all over the world (even CNN) to report about the reconstitution of the battle ! It had never been such a big event ! It was rather familiary, now it became a big show ! All streets around the lion are closed ! I try to get pictures of the preparations, but I have to be very creative to go through all the barriers !

You bowl better than I do -- I'm happy if I break 100.
Have a great weekend!

I know the feeling - I find it so hard to find the time or inclination to write my blog, especially as Facebook as more accessible.
But I always like to come and see my Melli-boo when I am in the blogosphere.
Loving the patio gaden all lush with all that fresh veg :-)
But the piece de resistance has to be the blue nails - how beautiful they are :-)

Well, you definitely bowl better than I do! My handicap was a 77! Of course, that was when I was 19 and I only bowled for a year. Now I'd likely be lucky to bowl 34!
Your garden looks wonderful. Mine is barely beginning, but we're still waiting for warm weather!
