Weekend News
Gooooood Monday Morning All! I had a great weekend! Of course, it's not over yet, because here in the U.S. we are celebrating Labor Day and thus have an extended weekend! (not that I don't have an extended weekend EVERY weekend... heck! I'm on permanent weekend!) Anyway... Saturday, for my birthday, we found a Blues Festival to go to! It was down in Rock Creek Park at the Carter Barron Amphitheater... and it was free! So we headed on down there - Me, Amanda, Hector, Luz, & Derek! Krysti opted to stay home but joined us later at Amanda's house for dinner and cake and a game of Trivial Pursuit! (which I LOVE but no one else is crazy about... so sad...) Here's some pics! (camera's weren't allowed in, but somehow mine managed to get by... I got a few shots before I got caught!) LOL!
The Big Stage...I love blues - but I don't know who any of these people
were... even the headliner I had never heard of! I don't
pay any attention to WHO performers are... sad, but true!

Me and my favorite Little Girl!We stayed down by the big stage for one set, but then we
went looking for some trails to walk - however with the
wheel chair that was really not happening! So we sat
down outside the amphitheater to watch some of the
workshop bands -- and we found we enjoyed them more
than the hot shots!

has a "swirly" head! But then she decided it was
a tornado and called him a tornado head! I agreed...

This guy was probably my favorite... heplayed MANY different instruments - some
rhythmic and some brass... the sax has always
been my favorite though.

Sunday I was a slug! I went to church and that was about it! And then I was mad at myself because it was SUCH a gorgeous day - and I should have been out playing in it... but I just wasn't! Today is another gorgeous day. I AM going out to play! Not sure yet, what or where... but play I will. OUTside! Seeeeeeya!

Wow ! what a nice birthday you had ! I know another person who takes pictures when it is not allowed by pure coincidence. The button of my camera just goes off !
What a cute picture of Amanda and Luz they have the same glasses or at least it looks like !

What a fun fun day it sounds like you have. I love Trivial Pursuit. Not the science questions however LOL. I've never been to a blues festival. Looks like so much fun. I have a swirly on my hair as well. ISo I just keep it short. What fun pictures and you are looking fine my darlin' Keep up the good work :) Happy Labor Day

Sounds like a great time! I haven't played Trivial Pursuits enough to like or dislike it yet. I think we had a kid's version that I wasn't crazy about.

I'll be glad to be able to have a great time outside again. Have an appointment with orthopedist this morning, Hope it is good news. The arm has been healing pretty well.
We are having a tropical storm this morning with flood watches and all. We need the rain a lot.

Your Blues Festival sounded like a highlight, this guy who plays the saxophone looks like a hoot.
