HOLY TOLEDO!!! I'm heeeeeere!!!
My DAY...
Ya know... all that WET out there was not really conducive to
stopping places and stretching legs and "seeing stuff ". So we
just kept driving!

And HERE is Holy TOLEDO out my hotel room window!
(yea... the rain stopped about 1/2 an hour before I arrived.)
*and then it got dark!*
This is the Maumee River. I was hoping for Lake Erie...
but Downtown isn't ON the lake... it's on the river!
Pretty enough!
I traveled 507 miles today and am MORE than halfway there!
I do plan to stop in Milwaukee for a couple of hours tomorrow
though! IF it's not snowing... I've been asking God to UNdo
that weather report! Let's see if He does...
Now I have to try to come up with a poem... it's going to be bad so I might not even bore you with it! The directions today were to write a "rebirth" poem. Didn't I just submit a "rebirth" poem yesterday??? How much REBIRTH does one person have in them???
G'night all!

Sleep well, Melli. Lord knows you need it. 507 miles is a long way. Glad you are getting away for a bit and hope you enjoy you time with Dr. John and his wife.
Is this poetry stuff ever going to stop? It seems like you all have been writing it for a long time now. :)

Melli ~ Glad you made it to Toledo, now it is only a Hop, Skip and a Jump to Dr John's.
One year you should come to Stampede, I can see you all Gussied Up in A Cowgirl Outfit.

It's still raining here, Melli, so you must be going in the right direction. Keep safe and have lots of fun (don't listen to Quilly.)

I have a dachsie loving friend in Maumee, OH! I've known her since 1996 when I brought Shubi (1st dachshund) home from Germany and met her on-line. She is a Professor at the University in Toledo. We've gotten together with her a few times. Great gal. No puppies yet!

Godspeed, my friend.
Be careful... those midwesterners are crazy drivers!
Have a great trip. I can't wait to read all about it.

Wow Melli ! you are like a Formula 1 driver ! and that in rain ! Sorry for you that the weather is bad.
When you are in Milwaukee think of me ! I have been there several times and also taken the plane there !
What a pity that my aunt doesn't live anymore and I would visit her as usual in Madison (but this was always in summer) They announced snow in Milwaukee ???? that's awful !
