Snow Fun!

Church was not canceled yesterday -- I was really surprised! Until I got out on the road. The roads were clear. Just gettin' out of our driveway and off of our circle that was the problem. But I took Dennis's truck with the 4 wheel drive, and I was fine. The service was PHENOMENAL and I feel sO sorry for anyone that didn't make it. Our young Vicar gave a wOnderful sermon on not making excuses when the Lord asks you to do something! Never Too Young... Never Too Late, he called it. He wondered what God might be telling ME to do that I was trying to get out of... it hit the mark DEAD on! GREAT sermon!

After church, Krysti and I played Yahtzee over lunch... and beyond! This is her new found old love! It's because she can BEAT me at Yahtzee! I'm lucky to win about 1 out 6! But I don't care... I just like playin' -- whatever we play!

If I MUST have snow, at least Amanda's family came over so I got to see Luz enjoy it! And the rest of my gang as well! Sadly, I can NOT go sleigh riding right now -- my back is in NO shape for it! I was really surprised Hector went with his shoulder as bad as it is... but he did - and had a great time! Just watch the slide show -- it pretty much says it all!

They left before dinner, (yea - it happens sometimes!) so Krysti and I played several more games of Yahtzee -- she whooped me good. I did not get my pedaling in yesterday, so today is must must MUST!

OOOOPS!!! An early morning call informed me that schools are closed today and Luz gets to spend the day with me! I don't know if I'll get around today or not... have a great day!

That was so much fun! I loved the pictures and Miss Luz sure looks happy, doesn't she? Love it, Melli! Thanks for starting my day off so nicely!

Thank you for sharing your photos, Melli! They looked like they were having so much fun! Luz had such JOY on her face. :) And I hadn't realized before how much Amanda looks like you.
It was too cold to even think about going outside, but today my hubby and the 3 youngest are off for a day of skiing.

Rabbit, Rabbit

At my daughter's house in South Jersey we had a blizzard Saturday. Only a few flakes at my house. No school closings. Or work closings. :(

We ended up with both services canceled. Some churches had one service at 3 or 4, and I think that would have worked fine. Pastor e-mailed everyone that's he's always afraid that some who SHOULD stay home will try to come out of faithfulness. But we had a nice restful day. I was hoping to play some games, but Jim and Jason were both feeling pretty bad.

We had a 2-hr. delay for school this morning, which I could really get used to. :-) The roads are pretty clear, but our driveway is still icy.

The snow pictures look fun!

Your snow is really pretty. It's been pretty cold here but cold enough for snow.

I wanna come sledding! I haven't done it since I was a kid and think it would be so much fun.

That slide show almost made me wish I was there -- then I remembered, that's snow!

Have fun with Luz!

I have a spectacular sunrise photo you will NOT want to miss.

What fun! Wish your back had behaved, I'm sure you would have led the way. Great sermon , I'm sure I got convicted just by the title.
We got about 8 inches of the cold wet stuff. I'm at the office now sitting between two space heaters. Sending you warm thoughts. Gotcha all prayed up my friend.

Sounds like a great day! No snow here, so we had a busy Church day and I got to hear a great sermon by my colleague, which I don't often get to do!
