ROFL!
I find it hysterically funny that you guys think I have not been verbalizing my anger and annoyance to the nurses, aides, doctors and anyone else who can hear! They have heard it long before YOU heard it! I guarantee you I will be writing a LETTER to director of the hospital by the end of the weekend! ;) My dissatisfaction will be known far and wide.Now... Dennis has come to relieve me, and I will go home and get a shower and some good sleep... and

Exactly the same happened to my SIL. My BIL has Alzheimer too, they find it out finally (took some time I tell you !), and in the hospital it was the same circus ! In Italy ! I got so angry because my SIL is 79 (!!!) and she should stay with him the whole night (and day) because there are not enough nurses ! It's a scandal when I read your post I thought I heard that already before. Now she has found a woman from Ukraine who stays with him during the nights. It sounds as if we were in the deepest Africa in a developing country !

Speaking of rolling on the floor... do you think perhaps the earthquake yesterday woke Mom up? It shook things way over here (I slept through it, but some friends did not) so there's a chance Mom was trying to walk or get out of bed and fell to the floor then.
Just thinking...

Good. While you're at it write a letter to the editor of the local paper. That hospital needs more eyes looking at them and more people yelling.

Don't some hospitals have something like a patient advocate? I don't remember what it is called exactly, but someone you call when the hospital staff isn't doing what they should. If they have a "patients bill of rights" posted somewhere, it may be on it.
I agree with Quilly.

You and I are truly sisters! When my Jack wasn't getting the care he needed during knee replacement, I took the roof off the hospital! I also had to stay to make sure he was properly looked after and I had the nurses scurrying around. They were afraid of me! Imagine that! The thing is, I wouldn't care if it were me, but I will not have my family abused!
