Ohhhhhh WHAT Have I Done Now???
HOW do I get myself IN to these things??? The Curves where I work is starting a new "promo" next week! It's OUR version of a "Boot Camp" training. The exercise is not going to be a problem... everyone still works on their own thing - we will just have goals of stepping up our workouts a bit - which I've already done since the beginning of the year anyway. And everyone will still be doing their "own" diet thing - whether it's Weight Watchers, TOPS, NutriSystems, Atkins, WHATEVER ... I'll continue to just do my own thing. BUT... this is a HUGE but... we have to increase our water consumption. Now get this... I thought drinking 80 ounces a day was bad. And I RARELY get 80 ounces in me... I do pretty well with 60. But for this Boot Camp / 6 Week Challenge thing, we have to take our body weight (which for me is 231 pounds right now) and divide it in half. THAT is how many ounces of water we have to drink EACH and EVERY day for the next 6 weeks! For ME this means 115 ounces of water PER DAY! Are they INSANE??? I told my boss okay... but that I was very sorry that I'm going to have to QUIT my new job that I LOVE so much because I will be spending the next 6 weeks sitting on the pot drinking water! She laughed of course. But I am seriously WONDERING how the heck I'm supposed to live a life AND drink 115 ounces of water per day! Can this even BE done? That is like 14 bottles of water a day. Well guys... I really NEED some cheering now! And um... excuse me... but I need to go have a minute with my Coach... why wasn't He there to STOP me from signing that contract today? ... ... ... Lord! Oh Lord? We need to talk!

At that rate, you won't have time to exercise - you'll be sitting on the potty tinkling all day. =O)
I'm on High BP meds now to help me until I get my weight down - which will in turn get my BP down. It is a water pill of sorts and I'm lucky to put 32oz of water in me. I've been going to the bathroom so much that I've been dreaming of going to the bathroom at night.
So far - I managed to wake up in time.

OH MY! Melli, I don't think I could do it. I can hardly get the 64 oz a day, much less that much. If I know you though, you CAN do it.

So you're a "heavy drinker" now huh? Are you drinking so much water that you float? Guess I'll have to start calling you Mermaid Melli! Cheers! Water Logged Daisy!

well that certainly will interrupt your sleeping habits!! No way could I do that! I'm not a "drinker" of any sort.. I'm lucky if I drink one cup of coffee, one cup of tea and maybe one cup of juice or a diet soda a day... that's it!

Oh my goodness, Melli. I run to the potty all the time with just my regular amount of water!

I'd be in the potty all day peeing my brains out if I had to drink that much.
Surely they don't expect you to float away?

I would love to be able to say go for it girl...but I just cannot!! I would be floating AWAY!! I cannot ever drink that much and especially in WATER!! i don't like water that much. I might and I say might be able to drink it in my cold green diet tea but WATER...NO WAY!! I just could not do it!! I dont suppose I drink more than 40 ounces of green tea a day. I do not have that much room inside to drink anymore. WOW!! WHEW!! The whole thing just makes me feel bloated!! (I love the picture that you have up here...cute)
Hey..I weighed in yesterday and lost more and more inches...CURVES is great but dont go telling me that I HAVE to do anything!! Sandy

Hi Melli
Drinking all that water, I couldn't do it. If I have one cup of tea after supper I am up half the night visiting the "Loo"
Stay strong and if you drink all that water per day, the Boss is going to have to let you take breaks.
Blessings from Canada

Okay, this all took me a while to work out, converting kilos to pounds and fluid ounces to litres, but I got there!
Basically, I need to drink 90oz of water a day, which works out at 2.5 litres a day. Easy! I already break at least 3 litres every day, or more if I'm doing lots of exercise.
You can do it, and your bladder will get used to it. Try to drink more in the morning and less in the afternoon so your sleep isn't too broken. I start by having two big glasses of water every day as soon as I get up. That puts you well ahead for the day.
Think of it as medication, that's how I formed the habit!

I need to start doing that again. The one place that I looked at says that you can't count any juice or coffee because they dehydrate you...so that's 1/2 your body weight in oz AND the coffee. Oh and if you're "active" you should be drinking 75% of your weight in oz! :o
I guess I better find some good books to put in the bathroom and join the "Circle Butt" club.
