The Shower...
I wanted to post something for the Photo Hunt this morning... but other than Hubby's Harley I can't think of a thing to put up... so I'm ignoring Photo Hunt today! Instead I'm putting up a very NON-classic Shower! Amanda's "Little Girl" Shower yesterday! It all moved so quickly that I did not get pictures of everything I would have liked -- like all the "other" people who were there! LOL! But I got several cute one's of Amanda ... so I'll share them!
Apparently the office thought this was a MUCH BIGGER surprise than it was... They were VERY excited to see Amanda's "expression" when she entered the room -- and were especially anxious to see how she reacted to ME being there! I wondered how they thought they got me there if SHE didn't help them! LOL! But she did a good job of acting appropriately surprised!!!
Amanda checks out one of the table "center pieces" ...Each table had a different grouping of toys for the center piece...
All to go home to Luz, of course!
(there were 6 or 7 tables ... I wanted to get pictures of them, but didn't)
First we had some food...
And then got down to opening ALL those presents!Yamayra -- the gal handing her the gifts, is the one who
put this whole show together for her~
She got sO many cute clothes!
And DORA EVERYthing!
Dora comforter...
Dora lamp...She got Dora sheets, Dora dolls, Dora games,
a little Dora carpet road map game thing, Dora books, and
yes! Dora clothes too! Dora, Dora, Dora!
AND... some creative goodies! The red thingon her lap is a "suitcase" full of crayons! And
of course, the play-doh... she also got chalk and
paints! A good starter supply of artsy stuff!
She made a really GOOD haul!
Her employees and associates obviously CARE for
her a great deal!
After the presents, we moved back to food!The cake, of course!
I HAVE to admit, I WAS surprised it was NOT
a DORA cake!!!

Perfect, perfect, PERFECT!!! What a wonderful celebration.
You say----79 new posts? Whoa!!! I don't think so, unless when it's set on full...it considers drafts and editing ones already there? I'm confused....but no way 79.
Now, any more of that cake left? I'm not much on cake, but I will take a taste. *wink*

Oh, it looks like you all had a lot of fun. Dora is a big deal with a lot of little girls. My DIL's niece LOVES her and even looks like her!!

My little Great granddaughter Valerie has a bunch of Dora stuff!! She loves Dora!
This is so nice that the people from work gave her such a special shower!!

I thought you got some good shots of the shower. Looked like a fun shower and so cool her co-workers did that. In a way a shower is a classic event so it works for me that this is a classic post, even if you aren't doing photohunters this week.

Ah, those were some goodies indeed! Looks like she is ready for the little girl now :-)
We don't have showers like that here in Sweden. We do give presents, but not holding regular baby showers.
I don't know why. It's a good starter help for the new parents!

Funny...I halfway expected it to be a Dora cake too!!It looks like she had a great time and got a lot of great things for little Luz...now we wait for the girl herself to come HOME! It won't be long! (((HUGS)))

It seems like such a fun shower!! Dora isn't known over here, at least I haven't heard from her (I am out of that age bracket, lol), I have read about Dora in other blogs and I am sure I will see more of here when little Luz wears those pretty clothes!!
