Not A Skywatch... Friday Fill-Ins... and stuff!

NOT yesterday's sky for sure!
(but certainly one of the many gifts bestowed on me over
the past 3 weeks!)

1. Painting my kitchen, watching Ella travel and seeing what Luz finally decides to be for Halloween are some of the things I'm most looking forward to in October.

2. Sometimes I change my mind - and that's why I came home from the beach YESTERDAY!!!

3. ANYTHING can happen and that's why there is a saying, "never say never"!

4. When I'm down, I pray.

5. Now that I'm home again, in front of this computer is where you'll find me most often. The rest of the time I'll be living life so I can tell you about it! (what did I do for motivation before blogs??? LOL!)

6. A rainy day is good for naps and quiet reading and time spent blogging... but not if you're at the beach with a fidgety mother-in-law and no wifi!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to blessed rest, tomorrow my plans include creating an above average hermit crab abode, and Sunday, I want to go to MY church!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yea... so Mom & I returned even two days early! The rains came in - and BOY did they come! We arrived in Ocean City in a hurricane, and left in a NOT Tropical Storm! LOL! I loved the weatherman's description of that! It's a HUGE storm - but it's not tropical -- it's not even Sub-tropical... it's "extra-tropical" which translated means NOT tropical at all! Go figure! Whatever - the waves kept getting bigger, the beach was non-existent on our end... not so bad on the boardwalk end... IF I had been alone I would have LOVED to stay there and watch it -- but Mom was crawlin' out of her skin and I couldn't think of a THING to do with her! When you can't even walk the beach or the boardwalk, and all the INSIDE stuff has closed down... okay - well - sOMebody said I could have taken her to a movie - but we alllllllllll know about how much I would have enjoyed that... so no! So, I ran around to a couple of shops and picked up some things I'd been "thinking about"... and then packed up the house and headed home! And guess what I forgot? Give ya 3 guesses. Nope... got the beach chairs off the back porch... Nope... got all my chargers and cords... Nope... remembered to get the clothes out of the dryer.... Give up? I forgot Mom's "refill medicines"... the MAIN supply! The ones I use to restock her 7 day pill boxes! ALLLLLLLLLLLLL of her meds! OY! I'm going to have to call them in the morning and see if they can overnight express them to me -- if not, I'm going to have to drive 3 hours BACK up there and 3 hours BACK home again - in the STILL extra-tropical (NOT tropical) storm!!! Grrrrrrrrr! So... I'm not a terribly happy camper right now -- but I'm praying that they WILL be able to express them to me... and then I'll be fine! You can pray too if you'd like!
So, now I'm going to go work a little bit on my Bible Study -- I've missed the first 3 weeks of 1 & 2 Peter -- but my Monday group goes slow - so I'll probably be ahead of them by our meeting on Monday! LOL! I was actually supposed to be working on this at the beach - but when I got there I realized this was the ONE study I had left at home! Sometimes I'd forget my head .... good thing it's attached!
I will finish up some of my beach posts - but I have to get the photos transferred from the laptop to this computer - and I'm just not UP for that tonight! (besides... my zip drive is still packed in the car ... and it's pouring outside!)
Welcome home. If I weren't so flipping in need of a vacation at the beach, I'd cheer.
Welcome home, welcome home, welcome home. I now have real people I think of when I watch national weather and wonder how all those people take all those storms.
Hey, if you were serious about wanting to read my story I would love for you to and to honestly critique it. It will be easier to find here http://lannystories.blogspot.com/. I'm getting ready to add another chapter to it, just have to do a little more research cause I don't live in Indiana, or New York, never visited even. And I am not a musician. Totally broke that whole "write about what you know" rule. But any who I would be honored beyond belief if you read it. Okay I'm up off the floor, I'm done groveling. Just thanks if you do.
Hey and thanks for absorbing some of my 20,000.
Oh ! you are already home ! but with a storm I can understand ! I had to laugh when I read " A rainy day is good for naps and quiet reading and time spent blogging" if I would do that, I would stay the whole year in bed and blogging from there ! With all the rain here !
That's really bad that you forgot the nearly most important thing, but they probably can send it why couldn't they !
Our weatherman said something like, "I know that they're saying it's NOT a tropical storm, but this looks to me just like a tropical storm." lol
Did you know that your blog title does not read on your profile? You might want to fix that.
Come visit. Happy Friday Fill-ins.
Hi Melli, welcome back home...rainy days are not fun when you are at a beach...I hope the meds can be mailed to you and save a trip back to Ocean City..
We are having a little bit of rain , but the cooler temps are great...I would love to open up the house and turn off the air condition..but Mr. Fred doesn't want the heat to build back up in the house..or for the bugs to come inside...
Enjoy your week-end .. hugs, Baba
I thought you were going to say you left Ella. :-)
I did just pray about the meds -- hope they can send them to you.
We were going to go to the beach in Charleston this weekend but decided not to, and I am glad as they are having high winds and waves due to some storm, too.
Probably a good thing that you came home earlier than expected. I know the weather is going to get rough up there in that area if Kyle comes through. I have not watched the weather today so have NO CLUE!!
I am sure you were happy to be back home though..Always good to get home..Sandy
It probably does feel good to be home but I hate that the meds got left behind. I hope you get something worked out so that you don't have to make another trip!
Thanks for playing :-)
I so glad you are home just in time for me to leave!! I won't be gone as long as you though.
Am praying you mil's meds are sent overnight. That would be such a drag to have to drive so far. You have called to make sure they have them, right?
