Best Friends...
These are my two new BEST friends! I was having trouble getting my 64 oz. of water/day in me... so I got this 64 oz. water bottle! I fill it in the morning, and make sure it's empty before bedtime! Hopefully a few HOURS before bedtime! Sleep is becoming an issue because my 2nd best friend calls me ... a LOT! I know from past experience that this will even itself out in the fairly near future. But until then I'm dependent upon my 3rd best friend to provide my energy! (that would be my bike!) Ugh! Tonight I have my aerobics and fitness Bible study. I'm kinda looking forward to weigh-in... (did I SAY that?) ... I think it's been a pretty good week! We shall SEE though! I have pedaled 5 days and I'm up to 40 minutes! I missed Saturday and Sunday. And I have stayed under my calorie limit except for Saturday and Sunday too. But I wasn't horribly over. So we shall SEE! The sliding scale at the top of my page will move if my weight has changed! I want to lose 140 lbs. (frankly, I'll be happy if I reach 100!) But 140 would put me at my ideal weight. So, Luz has a half day of school today - and she's off tomorrow! Guess who's comin' to spend the night with Nana?! YAY! I don't know what we're gonna do - but we'll do SOMEthin! I probably won't be around a lot!

That is an awful lot of water. I wish you the best of luck and stamina in your weight loss project. Just a couple nibbits of advice - Be careful not to leach out all your good electrolytes with all that water.
- Get yourself followed by a doctor who really knows about nutrition.
- Excercise! When people start taking in fewer calories than they burn up (essential for weight loss), the easiest place for the body to go for calories is its muscle tissue. So in dieting you keep your fat and burn up your muscles. What makes your body keep its muscles and burn up fat is the excercise telling it that it needs muscle tissue right now. So move that bod!
All the best to you!

Love this post! LOL! Yes, the potty becomes a good friend if you are not used to drinking so much water. However, as you said, your body will figure it all out and soon you won't be running there all the time. Using that water bottle is VERY smart Aunti M!

64 oz. seems like an awfully big amount of water. They always say if you feel hungry, drink water instead, but that doesn't alleviate hunger for me.
My germophobic self is cringing at seeing a water bottle on top of a toilet lid, although I am sure you keep the toilet pristinely clean. :-D
Have fun with Luz!

Melli, I just wanted to let you know that I love you and am cheering you on. My husband lost 72 pounds last year...determination goes a long way. When you make up your mind to do something, I know you can do it! You have some enthusiastic cheerleaders!
Big hugs! ((hugs))

Wonderful, Melli ! continue with water that's very good for the health, and that now you have the will to loose weight I am really happy for you !
Each time you want to eat, think of a place in the airplane bringing you to me, you would fit much more easier in it when you keep your goal of loosing 140 lbs !
Have fun with Luz !

Gurl!
Do not fill that jug from the 2nd best friend. It will not be good for you...I promise! Have a good time at church tonight, and I'm sure you will. You have a good time pretty much wherever you are.

Wow girlfriend, I have trouble with 32 ounces. Gotcha all prayed up. 40 minutes a day on your bike...whoa, I'm impressed. Hope you are rewarded by your diligence. Miss you.

Congratulations on the 3 pounds! I need to get a pitcher or something too -- it's so hard to remember to drink so much all day.
Good luck with the week ahead!
