12 Strangers... #3... Playin' Ketchup..
Okay, I saw this game over at Thom's blog last week and really wanted to play along. Of course, I forgot about it until I visited him again today and saw it! This is week 3 of a 12 week game, so I am playing catch up - thankfully I actually AM in the habit of taking pictures of strangers. LOL! (latent stalker tendencies???) Anyway here are the rules - copied straight from Thom...
Ida at Idathue has a cool meme going on. The challenge goes something like this: 12 weeks. 12 strangers = 12 portraits. Here are the particulars direct from her blog:1.: the person I take the picture of must be a stranger.
2.: show the pictures here every Tuesday for the next 12 weeks.
Bonus points for actually stopping a person and asking if I can take his/her picture.
I’d love it if you’d play along too. There’s nothing quite as inspiring as a little group support and pressure
See you here next Tuesday.
You can get more information by clicking HERE. Thanks Ida for hosting.
Sooooo... here I go with my first THREE... and then I hope to have one a week from here on out!
I took this one up at Baltimore Inner Harborlast May. I did not ask the girl for permission.
I just thought that was QUITE an outfit she had
on, and was intrigued that she really went out
like that!
(mainly cuz I would too...)
These two gents were walking along the mall between theWashington Monument and the Capitol in D.C. last August.
I was making up stories in my mind about who they were
and what they were discussing. If I disappear and my blog
is suddenly CLOSED it's because I published this photo!
LOL!
I took this one at National Harbor in D.C.(you may notice Jientje in the background)
She was happily snapping away and this fella
walked by... he just epitomized construction
worker to me... only thing missing was the
hard hat! Nope... didn't ask him for the pic
either! I will have to try that one of these days!
That's it for now!
See ya next week!

I thought I saw someone familiar! LOL! I think I was trying to photograph the eagles, but I missed that guy. Those guys over in DC look like movie stars, and the lady ... well ...

LOL at your comment on #2! Hopefully they weren't CIA talking about a clandestine mission! But they don't look like that's what they're discussing.

If they were governement spies it wouldn't do them much good to look like government spies, would it? If a couple of men in black come to your door, Melli, don't open it.
As for that outfit -- I want those socks!

Maribeth and I think alike...that young woman has an eclectic sense of style. She has red hair, too. You sure she isn't one of yours?
The two guys walking and talking are probably office workers. The guy with the gray hair has his id in his shirt pocket....no big shiny badge for him.
Big boy...oh my...Melli..he does so look like a construction worker! He's got his roll of paper towels with him, too.

It takes a special kind of brave to take pictures of strangers. I would feel too guilty, but I enjoy the stories you & Thom tell us! :)

That's a dangerous game ! If ever somebody recognizes him or herself !!Over here usually people get very angry if I try to take a picture of them. When I ask it's mostly Ok but not always.
When it comes to children then you really can get into troubles, I don't know why, but I think it's porn or kidnapping the parents are afraid of.
Some of my friends or people I know don't let me take a picture either. They don't want to appear on internet.
I have to admit that I forget all this when it is really an interesting picture to take, lol ! I am not a saint.
