Stuff n such -- but NOT the beach!

Oy! I don't know if or when Life is ever going to get back to NORMAL again! Seems odd that I was wishing for anything BUT normal not long ago ... but right now I'd just like to attain normal -- and then think about making it better than that! LOL! Yesterday was so crazy that I didn't even realize I had an email from Amanda (received at 9:30 a.m.) until 10:30 a.m. TODAY!!! Sheeeeeesh!

So... yesterday I took Dennis' cell phone, along with my OLD cell phone back to Verizon to see if they could FIX his. (did I mention he dropped it in a bowl of water his first day in Pennsylvania?) HIS is the only phone in the family that is NOT insured. Why? Because HE is CAREFUL with his phone! *grin* So, no... his could not be fixed -- but they were able to transfer his data over to my old phone and so he is once again reachable!

Then Mom and I went grocery shopping and came home and I put all the stuff away while trying to make her THINK she was helping me while I removed ketchup and relish from the freezer and put them back where they belong in the refrigerator. (along with multitudinous other items along the same order)

Then... we had left Luz's pool full of water while we went away so that the pets would have a water source in case youngest son forgot to feed and water them - which he did... sometimes. I know this because upon my return there was way too much food left in the cabinets for them! So it had grown green and had poliwogs swimming in it, so I emptied it, scrubbed it down with antibacterial cleanser and refilled it so it will be warm when Luz comes on Thursday to use it! Then against MY better judgement and the advice of alllllllllllll you fine people, I scrubbed my gooey kitchen floor to remove the party from it! Right or wrong, I can walk in sticky muck!

By that time I was too tired to even think about computing. I tried to read for a little while but ended up falling asleep in my book. I woke up at 3:00 this morning and finally finished the book! As a result, I overslept this morning and didn't get Mom showered (yes! We learned showering while we were at the beach -- no tubs available!) until 9:45. I forgot to run the dishwasher last night so had that to deal with this morning... I HATE it when that happens! And so I have only been around to visit a few of you. And....

NOW... Mom & Tammy have just returned with this afternoon's project, and I have to hit the road to go babysit Luz! MAYBE tomorrow I will get in a post about the beach! I really DO have a LOT to tell you!!! LOL!

I can't believe I'm the first one to comment. How could that happen. I procrastinate like mad and still am first. The world must be coming to one of those turning points.
Dropping a cell phone in water is not a good idea. Washing sticky floors is a good idea. Lettring mother help is a great idea. We created jobs for my mother. We had a folding machine at the church but we had her folding bulletins. She so wanted to help.
I still look forward to your beach pictures.

It was one of those days for me too. Finally I am home, with a appointment for surgery next week. (No big deal) and a house to clean. Maybe after a cup of tea and a couple of aspirin!

I have to remember to let my mil help even though it is easier to do myself (seems like we went through this when the kids were little, too...)

So, what did you do with the poliwogs? AND, did you use your son's favorite shirt as the floor mop? THAT would have gotten his attention.

Boy Wonder dropped a whole bottle of Gaterade on the floor while I was at work one evening. By the time I got home it had dried on the floor and sucked my shoe right off my foot from the stickiness. So right or wrong I would have cleaned the floor too.
Gotcha all prayed up girlfriend. Normal is just a setting on the dryer.

You have been very busy today!!! Yowser! I just love the way you cope with your mil...and you do it so well. Bless your heart. So glad you got to get some time at the beach.

You're just suffering from beach head. It's common, really. The waves and the ocean air totally and completely calm you and clear the useless stuff away. It's a wonderful thing, beach head. Enjoy it!! Don't wish for stuff to refill it ... cuz it will, no matter what. Enjoy feeling "fluffy" minded. :)

Wow ! poor Melli the daily routine has you back ! I couldn't comment or do anything yesterday Internet was out of work ! We have been in the mountains yesterday where the James Bond crew was ! Was so surprised to see the name everywhere and the hotel owner was SOOOO proud. Weather is wonderful too. Each morning while my old man still sleeps I am sitting here on a camping place on the terrace and do my blogging for an hour.

Dontcha hate the "coming home and getting back in the swing of things" part? I am still facing a suitcase that was packed for Alaska that I must get put away tomorrow. I've repacked three times since I've been home...and today I cleaned gross bunny cages...grrr..can't wait for 'em sometimes.
