Introducing...

Tyler Logan Hernandez
clocked in at 12:53 pm
on Dec. 29, 2010
weighing 7 lb. 6 oz.
and 19.5" end to end!

Bio-Mom is doing GREAT and thinks he's beautiful...
(What an incredibly strong and courageous young
lady she is! Her generosity has left me humbled.)

These 3 find him totally irresistible...
(all in all this baby has enough love to last 10 lifetimes!)

For me, it was love at first sight.

BIG SISTER got the first feeding!
She even burped him!
She's a natural!

PopPop meets the little man.

Poor Aunti Krysti couldn't get there until he was
HOURS old...

Great Grandma wasn't sure WHAT to think of him.

So... WHO was the MOST awaited baby IN the birthing
center? Every person (or portion of a person) in this photo
was awaiting the birth of wee Tyler! And this does not
include those in the birthing room with Jen OR me... cuz
I was behind the camera! Anybody ELSE waiting for a
baby today was just OUT OF LUCK!!! LOL!
And ALREADY little Tyler is saying...

Ohhhhhhh Nana! Get that camera...

... outta my face!!!
LOL!
Stay tuned for future cuteness!
Birthing SOON at a Hospital Near ME!

THIS little man will be induced into the world
with a start time of 7:30 tomorrow morning!
He is 4 days past due and in the Drs. opinion he is
DONE COOKIN'!
(I would prefer to wait for God's opinion... but I don't get a vote!)
I will be at the hospital...
Keep an eye on this space for future adorableness!!!
Quick Update!

Me and my Sunday School class, telling the REAL
story of Christmas... from Luke 2... each kid got to
read several verses... it was SO cute! And we all
wore our JAMMIES!
(I LOVE my church!!!)
NO BABY YET!!!
(now that the IMPORTANT part is out of the way...)
I am still busy busy busy - who isn't? It's Christmas time! LOL! I DID get the little family moved into our little slum house. It's still coming along. We've had some issues with the pilot light blowing out on the gas furnace... but my "plumber/heating/handyman" guy has shown Nina how to light the pilot light now, so at least she should be able to get the heat back up and going on her own from now on. Having lived "all electric" for the last 44 years of my life, I FORGET about things like pilot lights!!! I do remember them being a nuisance to the adults in my life as a child though. And I remember how HAPPY my mother was when we moved to our first all electric home. ALL EXCEPT for the part about electric COOKING! Gas stoves are definitely a PLUS! But I've decided that gas heat is too -- it is sO much WARMER than heat pump heat!
Anyway - Christmas EVE is TOMORROW and I am sooooo excited! Tonight I worked the Live Nativity up at church for 2 hours and barely even noticed it was only 27 degrees out! I just had FUN! I will be at church tomorrow night from 6:00 pm until midnight -- and my Mathew and his girlfriend, Megan, are joining me for the 11:00 pm service! I'm so excited! I told him that was what I wanted for Christmas, and he is obliging me. He's a good boy!
Since the baby has not arrived YET, now I am hoping he holds off just until after tomorrow! (I had this same desire LAST weekend...) Luz desperately wants him to be born ON Christmas -- none of the rest of us do, although recently I have come to decide that if Jesus decides to share HIS birthday with MY grandbaby, who the heck am I to complain? That would make him a MIGHTY special baby in my opinion! As far as celebrating his birthday in future years... I'm sure we'd work something out! But... honestly... only God knOws when that baby is going to make his entrance, and I will be happy to see him whenever it is! Jen wishes it was a month ago! Amanda just wants it to HAPPEN already! (though she really IS anti- the-whole-Christmas-thing!) I keep reminding her that when SHE wished for a baby brother, she GOT one. And when she then wished for TWINS she got THEM too! Big sister wishes can be MIGHTY powerful! (especially when they are turned into prayer!)
Now... I really MUST get to bed and get some sleep. I have a loooooong day tomorrow - ending with HELPING Santa to deliver some toys to some good little boys long after midnight tomorrow night!!! OY!

Everyone have a very BLESSED and Merry Christmas! Oh!... *hangs head*... MANY thanks to those of you who have remembered me with Christmas cards this year. Sadly I have NOT finished addressing my own cards this year. I DID manage to get about half of them sent out earlier this week - they will arrive after Christmas I'm afraid... but I have not gotten them all done, so please forgive me. Surely my life is going to settle down soon... it HAS to... doesn't it? I keep thinking it does... but I'm not seeing SIGNS to that effect. I will TRY ... really and truly TRY to get around and catch up with everyone on MONDAY!
Love you!
Me

Our Luz got to play Mary in the Christmas Pageant!
She was perfect... of course she was!
UPDATE
Friends, friends, friends... I am SO sorry for my absence from the blog world and community. I am BUSY up to my eyeballs! God has given me a family who is in DESPERATE need for a place to live, a husband who was stubborn as all get out and cost me SEVERAL weeks, but finally gave in and agreed to rent Mom's little run down house to her -- AFTER I wasted a those weeks running around trying to convince SOMEONE, ANYone to rent to her... We almost had one and when IT fell through, Dennis HAD to come to his senses. So the past week has been spent tracking down a cheap new fridge and stove for the house, and yesterday I spent 10 hours PAINTING yesterday - there is no heat in the house yet because the gas just got turned on, but the plumber is still not finished doing his part - the heat should be turned on this morning... but yesterday was only 25 degrees and I was in that house for all that time... Fortunately Amanda kept Mom for me. And I am only HALF done... I had the plumber at the house, the delivery of the fridge - but the stove went AWOL, the gas man showed up to turn the gas on - but there was no stove to hook up, so now TOMORROW I have to be back up there to wait for the stove and finish (???) painting ... I will be moving her in this weekend regardless of whether it's DONE or not! Right now she and the 3 children are living in a garage with concrete floors, and 2 electrical outlets. She was without HEAT for 2 weeks and the landlord can't be reached by phone - she has to snail mail him letters... to which he doesn't reply. And HE's a LAWYER!!! Makes me sick.
In the midst of this we await the new grandson -- Jen is showing signs of early labor, and I'm just praying baby holds out until at least NEXT Monday! But if God so chooses to bring him forth before then, I will handle it SOMEhow (with His help!). I have not Christmas shopped for my own family yet, and don't know when I'll have time... but it WILL get done.
I LOVE you all. I MISS you all. But right now I know that ALL of you are safe and happy without me around to help. I trust God to KEEP you that way -- and I pray to that effect! If you are praying for me - God knows my/our needs and IS helping! THANK YOU! I'm sorry I haven't answered many MANY of your emails... I honestly haven't even had time to READ them all. I am clear on what my priorities need to be at this time, and I will be back to play as soon as I can... but right now, I just can't. God puts people in our lives for a purpose, and He has made it VERY clear that this is what He wants me doing now. Be patient... and continue to love me! I LOVE YOU!!!
